To be blunt, I'm not aware of anyone with any kind of CS degree having trouble finding work. The only professional master's student I know (did UG in India, then the master's at my UG university) works at Amazon in Seattle now, and is very happy there. And that's not even as renowned a school as UIUC.
It sounds like you're not looking for research positions. Is this right?

What are your favorite board/card/roleplaying games? I tend to enjoy co-op games more, with Eldritch Horror being my favorite. The most recent one I've been playing is Shadowrun Crossfire. It's pretty fun, but it can be insanely hard to win sometimes.

Forgive me for the poor phrasing there. The conversation I was having prior to posting the thread was with an individual who thought my research methodology didn't include statistics or instrumentation or any form of scientific method. I explained confidence intervals and statistical significance to them, but for brevity (and out of frustration) I poorly phrased that here.
