  1. Yet another rejection. This one is from Georgetown. So so far many rejections. One MA acceptance and One wait list :S Did anyone apply to University of Miami's Community Well-Being Program?
  2. Hello. Depending on the program you are applying to University of Miami's Community Well-Being program accepts on those with an MA such that you can complete the program without having to redo the MA so it takes around 3 years.
  3. Oh and lets not forget Northwestern -NO!
  4. This process sucks. Am just praying one program sees my potential. So far in this lovely month of March the rejections have been coming in! So thats why they took so long- only to tell us NO! I only wish as they send out interview they could let those who aren't making it know :s So far University of Chicago is a NO, Johns Hopkins is a NO but yes to Masters, Depaul is a NO, I am guessing Loyola is a no as their response when I asked was we sent out an email. Alas
  5. What is IPORT and what programs did you lot apply to, I still have not heard back from 6!
  6. I still have not heard anything from them. Are they sending out rejections or acceptances now? Have they even interviewed?
  7. I recently applied to the PhD in Mental Health and while I did not get accepted for that I was accepted into the MHS program. How are people intending to pay for this..it seems like a great opportunity its just the funding aspect!
  8. Has anyone applied to these schools and heard back: UVA (community psych), Georgetown (human dev and policy), UIC (Community research), Northwestern (human dev and policy), Depaul (comm psych), Loyola (applied psych)
  9. If you are that nervous just ask. I do think responses are coming through this month. I already got back two rejections over the past two days.
  10. The same thing happened to me with Johns Hopkins. I applied for the the PhD in Mental Health and was told that I didn't make it but would be a great fit for the MHS program there. I am not sure how to respond to that. It is disappointing. Johns Hopkins is an amazing school but the funding!
  11. I can understand that, but from a human standpoint emotionally its rough to sit around and wait for a rejection. Alas if only schools would factor that in ay.
  12. I also applied to University of Chicago and did not hear anything back. One user posted this in response to me: "UChicago Psych just finished interview weekend. I have no idea what that means if you haven't heard, but it likely means (at least) that you aren't being interviewed"
  13. I don't understand these schools, why would they not email out rejections then! or at the very least if they can't do that then atleast update the status of the application.
  14. Thank you Mux127. Congratulations on getting 5 interviews! You seem to have a really great mindset about this whole process and I am sure that shines through! Fingers crossed the other 2 interviews with the faculty there go well, I got a lot of insight into what I need to work on and seem to be a good fit, just need to figure out how to talk about research and theory!
