Shocking. I wonder why Medical schools have interviews for their MD/PhD program? Perhaps they are seeking both sets of skills? (interpersonal & research). Clinical graduate programs are not solely research.

Special insight? No. Not really. I spoke with potential professors prior to applying and I felt I clicked with some, and other's I did not. Only through an interview was I able to gain that insight. The graduate program I am currently in had interviews. They wanted to make sure I'd be a good fit for their lab.

Good point. I went to the OISE open house. Maybe that's what they do not have interviews.

I can't understand why a program wouldn't interview...even over phone/skype. ANYONE can write a letter of intent... OISE as well for some of their programs didn't interview. So much trust.

My friend who was accepted into the SCCP program was accepted around end of April... So who knows when we might hear back from OISE for the clinical/counselling programs. Worth the wait! I really want to know! They had really strict guidelines and no room for error.

I wasn't a fan of my cohort either...it was just High School all over again...

I didn't applied to the Master's in Teaching, but I was a verifier for a student as she volunteers within my charity. I was just sharing this information as it means they'll be deciding soon!

This is why the wait-list is sluggishly slow and has a shelf-life of 2 months. Everyone waits to see their offers.

Nope not yet. If we are being interviewed we should receive a reply by Mid-March. Interview will be over phone. If you haven't heard by end of March...unfortunately it means you weren't selected. Good luck!
