  1. I am! Educational Policy. I will keep you all updated if I get news of any sort.
  2. I applied to the EMST program and have not heard anything. Has anyone else heard from them or from SESAME?
  3. Someone posted on the results page that they were accepted to the PhD program via postal service yesterday (February 13). Can this person or anyone else who was accepted this week tell me whether or not you had an interview? Rational or not, I'm maintaining hope!
  4. I have gotten no news of any kind.
  5. It's probably an interview. I had a professor say he wanted to schedule a time to "chat" over the phone. When we did, it was an interview, and he made no bones about that. That was for a PhD program, though. Are you a doctoral or Master's applicant?
  6. Thanks, tchrsquirrel! Here is the link to that, by the way y'all. http://thegradcafe.com/survey/index.php?q=vanderbilt+peabody+college+of+education+Leadership&t=a&o=
  7. Hi folks. I'm creating this form for people applying to Education PhD programs at Berkeley. I am applying to the Education in Math, Science & Technology program in particular, but I think it would be great for all of us to have a space to share our basic info, share any resources, and give updates on admissions/etc. as they arise. Here is my basic info: GRE Score: V 169, Q 162, AWA 5.0 Undergraduate GPA: 3.75/4.00 Work Experience: Still an undergraduate, but I have done several relevant internships (with e.g. Breakthrough Collaborative and Teach for America) Undergraduate: Top 25 liberal arts Research Experience: Two small research projects on equity in math classrooms; REU at Cornell Univ on high dimensional data analysis Program: Education in Math, Science & Technology What Other Schools Are You Applying To: UC Davis, Vanderbilt, Stanford, UC Santa Cruz, UCLA, University of Southern California, UW Madison, UM Ann Arbor, Harvard, Boston College I wish everyone the best!
  8. I'm also applying to the PhD program! To imitate other discussions, I'm going to share my basic info. GRE Scores: V 169, Q 162, AWA 5.0 GPA: 3.75 (B.A.) Work Experience: Still an undergraduate, but I have done several relevant internships (with e.g. Breakthrough Collaborative and Teach for America) Undergraduate: Top 25 liberal arts Research Experience: Two small research projects on equity in math classrooms; REU at Cornell Univ on high dimensional data analysis What Other Schools Are You Applying To: UC Davis, UC Berkeley, Stanford, UC Santa Cruz, UCLA, University of Southern California, UW Madison, UM Ann Arbor, Vanderbilt, Boston College On a related note, does anyone know how accurate the admissions data on US News & World Report is? The site says that the HGSE PhD program has an acceptance rate around 6%, which is believable, but I just want to confirm.
  9. Hey folks! @allinduetime is right that patience is a virtue! GRE Score: V 169, Q 162, AWA 5.0 GPA: 3.75 (B.A.) Work Experience: Still an undergraduate, but I have done several relevant internships (with e.g. Breakthrough Collaborative and Teach for America) Undergraduate: Top 25 liberal arts Research Experience: Two small research projects on equity in math classrooms; REU at Cornell Univ on high dimensional data analysis Applying for PhD or Master’s: Ph.D., 2015F Program: Learning, Teaching, and Diversity What Other Schools Are You Applying To: UC Davis, UC Berkeley, Stanford, UC Santa Cruz, UCLA, University of Southern California, UW Madison, UM Ann Arbor, Harvard, Boston College
  10. Hey la_manda_panda! I see on the page that Omnomnam posted that 24 ED.L.D students entered for the 2014-2015 year, but I imagine they admitted at least a bit more than that. Was this the source you were using, or is there another source I am missing?
