  1. I won't be a cohort mate (nor am I criminal justice), but I am going to MSU in the Fall!
  2. My alma mater is FSU so I'm slightly biased but you absolutely can't go wrong in choosing FSU. If you ever had any questions about life in Tallahassee or anything aside from the actual Criminology program, feel free to PM me! I'll be as candid as I can be
  3. Um.... So how exactly should I word an email where I decline an offer?
  4. Hi! Sorry, I wasn't sure where else to post this. I'm currently in my final semester of undergrad, and I was wondering how grad schools will react if they see that I did a Pass/Fail in my final semester. Would it even matter at all? I fully anticipate passing it (of course), but I also don't want them to think I couldn't get an A in the class (1000-level elective that is a lot harder than I thought). It doesn't count towards my degrees or anything... and not even my graduation requirements. It's just an extra class that doesn't really have any bearing on anything, I just needed it to keep myself as a full-time student. So is this an okay thing to do? I've already been accepted to schools and everything, so that won't be an issue.
  5. I have officially been accepted to every program I applied to with full funding at each. o___O
  6. Oh ok, so I'm not the only one. Thanks Bubandis. And I'm actually in the same position - I'm 99% sure I'm not going there (it's between MSU and FSU for me), but I already spent ~40 dollars on the application that I said "what the hey", especially because I only applied to those three schools. And thanks notrealusername - LET'S GET THAT SEMINOLE SPIRIT UP IN HERE
  7. U of Florida, sorry. Thankfully I heard from Florida State last week
  8. Has anyone heard anything from Florida? It looked like acceptances should start coming in judging by past years, but it's so difficult to tell since it doesn't look like many people post their results. I thought I saw one or two people on here who applied there. Anyways, my portal has changed (I can't access it anymore, something about wanting a more "decentralized" process), and I was contacted at the beginning of the week asking for my official transcripts (even though the application said we only needed unofficial??).
  9. Anyone else have the "Check Status" portal change for Florida??
  10. 98% convinced that colleges don't know how to transcript... whether on the sending end or the receiving end
  11. I lived on campus for two years (first in dorms, second in apartment-style), and I was ASTOUNDED by the amount of kids who would bring their dirty laundry home to do it there, presumably so their moms/dads can do it. I wouldn't be so surprised if I had seen it once, but it was a relatively common thing, even once I moved to the upperclassmen apartment-style. I think we all hate doing laundry, but it's such a simple thing that you kind of need to learn to do when you live on your own...and the laundry machines were in the same building!
  12. Ah that sounds perfect! Thank you so much. I'm looking around Macy's now. Finally gives me an excuse to buy knee high boots.
  13. Hello! I have been accepted into a program that is hosting an Open House at the end of the month. The problem is.. I have absolutely no idea what to wear S:. The events consist of an evening (seems like a casual-ish event hosted by grad students) followed by a full day of... well, the Open House. One, It's very northern, so will likely be (very) cold. Two, I'm a female, so I don't think I can go with the good ol' dress shirt-tie-dress pants combo. I'm open to any suggestions. Thanks you!!
