Sorry to hear of your BU rejections guys. It's been a sad year for applications. I don't even know what to say. I got in touch with my POI to inform him of my being wait-listed. He was empathetic, noting that they had over 150 applications this year and only had a slot for 5 students. I think that number is cruel to be honest. It's just a sad year to be applying. I'm honestly tired.
Three faculty members. How many were present at yours? Also, do you have any idea how many students they take in total? My POI had mentioned it was very competitive.
'A few weeks' also seems far! I was hoping, considering past years, that they might get back to us this Friday. Well!
Hey! I wish you the best! Seems like a good interview to me! I mean, a laugh has to be good thing, right! lol
I also interviewed at BU last week - theology, ethics, and philosophy track. What track did you apply for, if you don't mind sharing? Plus, did they mention when we might hear back from them?
Hi guys! I hope and trust it will go well for us all this cycle!
For me, I think I can safely give up on ND now - sadly. Doesn't seem like any interview requests would be coming in. I hope I'm wrong though!
In other news, though, I did interview at Boston University School of Theology yesterday. I thought the interview went well but then, you never know!
Just a question too, if anyone wants to chime in, I'm already wondering which to choose between Baylor (I've already had a first round of interview there) and Boston Uni School of Theology (*IF* I'm admitted at both places). Any thoughts on both schools? My field is Theological Ethics and both schools have fine faculty in the field that I won't mind working with. My concern is about the job market after graduation and how well regarded both schools are. I know I'm getting ahead of myself! lol. But well!
Yeah, I agree with you. The only certain thing this year might be an email directly from the school. I did apply to their Peace Studies/Theology program and was notified of their decision (rejection) last week. Waiting to know the status of my application to their theology department.
Someone posted a couple of days back that ND had sent out interview invites. Has anyone here actually heard back from them though? I did apply there and perhaps I might as well take my mind off them?
No, I didn't reach out to them. To be honest, I think it was a generic email, sent to all applicants. The program is administered differently from their PhD program in theology (which I also applied to but haven't heard back from). This peace studies/theology program is administered by their Kroc Institute for International Peace Studies.
Did you apply to ND too?
