  1. I am currently on seven waitlists and all seven of the colleges emailed me and told me I was waitlisted. Not all schools do though!
  2. I know Milwaukee and Stevens Point told us not to ask questions about the waitlist in our emails and I do not want to impede my chances more or anything by bothering professors. I really hope one of them turns into something though! I am really excited to visit the campus! I heard back from Whitewater today also and got waitlisted, so I am now 7/8 on the waitlist! ? This process really tests patience!
  3. Oh I liked it more than I thought I would! The professors knew so much and had so much to tell us about what their interests are and how they do research. Definitely more knowledgeable. They were all supportive and encouraging of us touring the facilities. I grew up 40 minutes from Milwaukee, so I have been there many times. I enjoy it a lot because there is a lot to do around Milwaukee. There is a lot to offer in the city, which I am drawn to. I'm not sure what placements you are into, but the medical opportunity in Milwaukee seems very strong also!
  4. The open house went really well. I really enjoyed it. It is one of my top choices (although I am waitlisted) but I definitely learned a lot about the campus and the program that I was not aware of. You get experience in both hospitals and in a school, so you do not have to know which population you want to work with right away. Also your first year is clinic on campus, so you will have ample time to gain good clinic experience. Milwaukee is a bigger city so there is a lot of opportunity. You would also be required to do research with a professor, or a thesis (most people do the research) which was really interesting to me. We got to tour the clinic, which is all looks very nice. The professors seem very personable and were very willing to answer questions we had. There is also an opportunity to be a TA! Any questions just message me or reply to this and I'll see if I can answer them! It was a quick tour but very informative!
  5. I am going to the open house for UW Milwaukee today actually! I will message back to this and let you know how that goes if you would like!
  6. Oooh that is really good to know! Thanks for the info! It is one of my top choices and I will be visiting the campus in May! That's surprising to hear actually. Not to be too nosy, but do you know a general range of how many people get wait listed? Every UW school is different. I know Milwaukee's waitlist is pretty big, but not much about the other programs. I go to Whitewater currently and have not heard a word back yet, so I just cannot wait until April 15!
  7. They said either by this coming Friday or the following Monday they will send emails out! Not sure how I will cope if I end up on a sixth waitlist.... hoping for the best!
  8. This was the case for mine, too! It was a mixture of anywhere from that to skirt-suits. Guess I was way too worried! Haha. Hoping for the best with results next week!
  9. And the interview went as well as it could have for me! Just waiting to hear back until next week sometime They said by next week Friday we should know. Thanks for the advice!
  10. Thank you! You picked a great field to get into for a change! I'm actually surprised I got waitlisted because I am out of state and Michigan State is a great school! I know I will be waiting it out until April for the Wisconsin schools anyways, but I also haven't heard from my own institution yet. They are behind here! They sent a first round out and some waitlists, but I have not heard a word. I think they send out another round of acceptances soon, so I'm hoping I'm on that and not rejected!
  11. Good to know! I have a skirt-suit that I got specifically for professional interviews and I've been nervous about that being too much! I mean it's not like I know any of the people interviewing (except if I get accepted they'll be future classmates!) but I didn't want to be "that person" who overdressed. I guess I can't really be too picky... having an interview chance is luck in itself! I most likely will aim for overdressing. I have dresses, too, and good pairs of heels, but I am thinking they are not dressy enough! And (sadly) I hardly own a pair of dress pants to save my life (that will definitely be changing if I get accepted to a program because I am not about wearing dresses every day to clinic!)
  12. Have you looked into schools that start in the spring? Right now I am on all waitlists, so I am already thinking of plan B. That is just one of my ideas! If I don't get accepted I also plan on studying for and retaking the GRE, and gaining even more volunteer experience. My resume is pretty strong, and I know I can't change my grades (which are pretty average - (3.6 overall, 3.7 in the major, last 60 3.8). I am also looking into internships with my company as a behavioral therapist and doing more job shadowing!
  13. Ooooh hopefully they can tell us! If they can I will definitely be asking myself! Good luck to you as well and congrats on your acceptance! Are you from Michigan? I'm from Wisconsin, so I ideally want to stay in the UW System, but if I get in out of state I will definitely have to consider it!
  14. Well I got another Midwest waitlist at Michigan State today. Hoping one of these four goes in my favor, or else the interview at GVSU this weekend!
  15. Is anybody interviewing at Grand Valley State University this weekend?! I am, and I am getting nervous! I also wanted to ask from the perspective of people who have already interviewed....what did you wear? I've heard one step above what you'd wear in the profession, and I also heard dress the same level as you'd wear in a clinic. I don't want to overdress or underdress! Knowing me I probably will overdress, but I just am curious because I have a few outfits in mind but I'm not sure which one I want!
  16. I haven't heard anything either, but I have seen both rejections and acceptances posted. Not sure how it works, but hoping to hear good news!
  17. Another waitlist at UW Milwaukee! Lol, better than a rejection so I will take it! Hoping one of these gets me in somewhere! I will also be going on a campus visit so hoping for some positivity!
  18. I applied to Michigan State and Bowling Green also! Waiting for those two, and then UW Milwaukee and UW Whitewater!
  19. I am still waiting on four schools as well! Hoping to hear some good news this week, otherwise waiting for hopeful spots on a waitlist is going to be another long couple of months! Hope you guys hear good news as well!
  20. Oh cool! How did you like Point? I am waitlisted, but it is one of my top choices! I'm happy for whoever all got in, but I really hope to hear good news in April about some openings! I am from UW Whitewater, and also I feel like what you said is pretty similar to here.
  21. Anybody heard from UW Whitewater, UW Milwaukee, Michigan State, or Bowling Green? I saw two Whitewater acceptances, but haven't heard any more. Last year these schools notified around now too so I'm getting anxious!
  22. I have two waitlists, a rejection, and an interview (which I am not even sure I can attend, so might not be there). Waiting on four schools, but hoping one can be an acceptance! Scared because my GRE's are nowhere near stellar, but hopefully things go well for us! This waiting process just causes so much anxiety!
  23. I will! I'm glad I'm not out of the process yet! Still waiting on four more schools and an interview!
