  1. Sorry for the late response, wasn't on here in a while. I heard back in early February
  2. I got into UPenn, didn't hear anything from Cornell. I got into Pittsburgh.
  3. Ceuats, I applied to Cornell as well, no word back yet. I don't think they've sent out any acceptances yet (according to the results board), but I could be wrong.. Contacting the department doesn't hurt either if you'd truly like to find out.
  4. http://m.university-list.net/us/rank/univ-1039.htm this list is updated to 2015 Chemical Engineering graduate ranking.
  5. Yeah. People have already started posting acceptances from UMich, MIT, Stanford, and TAMU, with UT Austin acceptances last week I think. I'm getting a little antsy as well with all these UMich acceptances, but I'm not sweating it.
  6. Someone asked this in the bioengineering forum and now I'm curious...has anybody been getting private profile views on their LinkedIn accounts recently?
  7. This week is a lot more intense with acceptances coming from MIT and Stanford.
  8. Ehh not really. I've received two already, I'd say it's early, but not very early.
  9. Haha very slow day for chemical engineering on the results section (always filled with PhD psychology and biology interviews. Will probably be a slower week for acceptances. Should probably pick up next week.
  10. Congratulations!! Those are really good graduate schools for chemical engineering! Best of luck to you throughout the rest of the admission cycle!
  11. There's no needs to post stats and profiles. Feel free to just have chit chat in this thread!
  12. I don't know how it works for EE but for ChemE, there are still a LOT of schools that are still accepting applications for Fall 2016. Hmmm I don't think your application profile is terrible, but with all top schools there's also a decreased chance of getting in. What area in particular are you looking to move to? Do you have EE rankings for graduate programs? A quick google search should help. I'd say if you're really aiming low try no school within the top 40 to 50. The poster about me is right in that a lot of deadlines have long passed. Merry Christmas and best luck to you on your applications.

  14. Hey all, So, I thought it'd be really cool to start a profile/results topic (the EE post inspired this). Fill out the profile application and feel free to post if you're applying for ChemE PhD for Fall 2016! 15. Dude I think you have pretty decent stats!!! Austin is a hard school to get into , but all of the others you have a fair chance at. We have pretty similar work experience (I have about a semester of research, entering my second, but I also have industry experience). I'm applying to Florida as well, so maybe we'll cross paths!!!
  16. Sure! Thanks Rich!! I'm only going to take the PowerPrep tomorrow and that'll be it for studying. The main reason I took the tests were to become used to the time limits and format, which I think I've done enough of. Thanks again!
  17. Might I add again, I think that Manhattan is generally brutal with their second harder Math sections.
  18. EMPOWERgreRichC, so far I've worked through 1 Powerprep and 2 Manhattan Prep exams (fully). I plan to take the next 3 Man Prep exams with full Math and Verbal (4 sections together) and Writing separately. I will complete with the last MGRE and Powerprep exams fully to evaluate my progress. I did pick up one helpful note - to go back through the practice exams and make note of my mistakes, not necessarily my work through of them (I think it's an excellent strategy). I have no score for the Writing (not too worried on that end, I've been writing quite a lot with a planned tackle). My highest Quant score came from Powerprep (163) and my highest Verbal came from Manhattan (153). With Verbal, I really just want to do okay (I'd be fine with a 155 at this point honestly). I'm certain that within the next week, looking back on my errors will help me more at this point than pushing through math sections. Feel free to respond if you still require more information.
  19. Just got accepted to attend Ohio State University open house event!! Very exciting start to the application period!

OSU's awesome! Good luck with your apps!

  20. Your credentials are superb (from an Engineering perspective). Taking the GRE again would not be a bad idea at all, with a little more preparation!
  21. Wow. Your credentials look really good! I'd say you're in great shape for the upcoming application season. We're in the same both for applying to programs (ChemE) and we're also applying to some of the same schools so I look forward to seeing you around the forums!!
