  1. Vanderbilt waitlist is closed! Surprisingly, I'm not that disappointed though.. I think this application cycle really helped me to grow emotionally and in character. After all this I'm definitely more humble, but also much more confident and excited about starting a grad program next year!
  2. Do the schools usually send out an email letting us know if the waitlist closes? Like a definitely rejection email? Haha
  3. I didn't receive a scholarship either which was a big bummer. I still accepted the admission offer because of other factors.
  4. It always had me a little puzzled because NU is definitely easier to get into than Rush because their acceptance rate and class size are bigger than Rush. But then their program seems more padded so idk!!! I don't know why this keeps bothering me.. The acceptance rate. It's not as exclusive as they make it out to be.
  5. wow! you're definitely going to have amazing opportunities as a GA that you couldn't have had going to your "dream school." so take advantage of that and be confident in your choice. a year from now all this stress is going to mean nothing! i think we'll all be happy wherever we go
  6. @SLPCeli has been monstrously helpful in my NU decision making process. So she can probably copy paste the message she sent me to you! A big bummer is that we aren't allowed to tour the clinic anymore because of patient privacy and stuff. But I think just seeing the lobby and exterior of the building would give a good idea of it.
  7. I'm on a waitlist too and thought it was selfish of me to hold onto schools I knew I wasn't interested in anymore.
  8. Just declined admission to UW Madison and Loma Linda. I hope this helps somebody on the waitlist!!! But... still feeling completely stumped about picking between the other schools.
  9. Thanks for all these answers guys! It definitely doesn't sound fair to have a dog during grad school but maybe a cat??
  10. Thank you so much !!! My biggest concern is how Northwestern is worth $106,330 in tuition... How do they set themselves apart from other graduate programs? I realize this is an extremely abstract question, so any answers that pertain to it would be great. I'm also very interested in getting experience in the medical setting, so any information on that would be helpful.
  11. No I'm visiting Purdue tomorrow and can't make it to NU. Could you please update me after your visit and tell me the pros and cons you noticed! That would be so helpful!!!
