  1. Congrats on getting into ND!!
  2. Just accepted an offer from Michigan Ann-Arbor. Declined Cornell wait list and UC-Boulder (fellowship). Really happy (and still a little shocked) to be in at Michigan, but declining Boulder was kind of crushing: everyone there has been so kind and helpful and it seemed like a great program, too.
  3. Has anybody heard from them after this - and is anyone with an offer from Michigan planning on declining?
  4. Congratulations!! Good luck at Stanford :-)
  5. I solicited last Friday and a got a prompt response - the committee is "still working on" official letters, but if you haven't heard from them you were not admitted or wait listed.
  6. Does anyone know why Stanford still hasn't sent out official rejections?
  7. Ah, I see.. That's not good news, but it's very informative - thanks! Best of luck!
  8. Does anybody happen to know how Cornell operates its waitlist and approximately how many students are on it? Is it ranked or AOI-based? Trying to figure out how realistic/unrealistic an offer of admission is..
  9. Though I understand your dilemma, I want to agree with what has been said about visits - don't go if you're already certain you will not accept the offer. In response to your other question, though: this depends somewhat on the kind of housing you're looking for (studio apt., family housing, etc.) and the school you are planning on attending. It is always better to hand in a housing application earlier rather than later - this will give you an edge over all the applications that will be submitted directly before April 15th. This matters even more at schools/in buildings where you must compete with undergraduates as well as graduates. Additionally, if you're really eager to get in to one particular housing building, I recommend choosing a relatively early "move-in date:" I've been told that this, too, gives your chances a boost because the vast majority of students are looking to move in during August.
  10. Thanks for posting - and congrats on what looks to be an amazing cycle! I'll be visiting as well so I'm sure I'll see you then
  11. Can anyone claim the other Michigan offers? I've seen only one claimed in here, I think. If you're out there, I'd be interested to know what your interests are/whether you plan on accepting!
  12. Waitlisted at Cornell too! Had already resigned myself to a rejection. Turning out to be a good day today!
  13. Wait listed at Michigan! Really hope this will turn into an offer. So surprised after all these rejections
  14. Thanks.. Still waiting on mine. Wish they'd just send these things all at once and get it over with!
  15. @brush @philosophe have you guys heard anything from Mich yet?
  16. Same... Really hope they don't drag this out
  17. Just declined GSU's MA program, hope it helps someone.
  18. Has anybody solicited rejection from Cornell? I was invited for an interview with the law school and will probably just withdraw that application, but wanted to be certain there's no purgatory/waitlist-for-waitlist deal at Cornell.
  19. Same... Though: I'd rather they just accept me
  20. You guys think we can expect anything more from Stanford? Not sure if the post today was another ancient, anybody want to claim it?
  21. Did all you lucky Princeton admits (congrats!!) receive a generic message or some kind of personalized e-mail? I assume there's no reason not to send all the e-mails out at once, but am surprised at the lack of posts (only 4 compared to 10-12 in previous years).
