  1. Either way is fine. I could do 2 pm CST but 2:15 or 2:30 CST would be better. I have another video meeting that's supposed to end right at 2 pm CST. I'd love to have @ZebraFinch on it if possible since they've already been through the process but happy to speak with other Pickering candidates either way!
  2. @GlobalUp @ZebraFinch @jrdnmadrid @kbui Sorry to be late in jumping on this, but I'd also be interested in jumping on the G-Hangout! @ZebraFinch I just messaged you before seeing the updates on this thread so feel free to ignore that if you're going to be on the G-Hangout. 11 am CST works for me, that's nighttime over here so that's perfect.
  3. @kbui Thanks for that insight! I really appreciate it. I'm definitely looking into it but a $900 roundtrip flight added to my credit card sounds ridiculously brutal right now. I'm still paying off application fees that I paid for with that baby (I applied to 8 programs...) and I don't have a salary right now as I'm currently volunteering & studying a language. I called Pickering today and the person that I spoke with said that several other Skype interviews have been confirmed, and they've definitely had Skype candidates get selected for the fellowship. It's definitely a risk and one I'm not eager to take. But we'll see. No decisions yet!
  4. @GlobalUp I'm also in the same position. I was selected as a finalist (definitely did not expect that to happen after being rejected from Rangel) but I'm currently living abroad in the Middle East. I'm really tempted to go back for the interview but I can't afford it, so I think I'm going to opt for the Skype interview. Let me know what you end up doing!
  5. I'm in as well. And received an email about being on the waitlist for a scholarship. This is pretty surreal. MSFS has always been my top choice, but I wasn't confident about getting in at all. But again, the cost of attendance is pretty scary.
  6. Also in with $30k over 2 years. Really great news! I didn't expect more funding from them, but still feeling the cost of attendance burn like those above me. ^^^
  7. I'm in as well at SAIS Europe, and I also have no news on funding. Waiting for that as well, but don't have too high of hopes on that front...
  8. I also got in, but no mention of funding. This is exactly what I expected. I've applied to external scholarships and will continue to do so, but Columbia is really expensive and so is NYC, so the likelihood that I'd be able to fund 50-75% via external scholarships is slim. I already have debt from undergrad and I'm not willing to incur much more. The acceptance letter was great news but the reality of funding makes it a bummer...
