I recommend you email Stephen McGowan at stmcgowan@fordham.edu He is willing to answer any question. He was an MSW at Fordham and now working in the Admissions. I communicate with him regularly and he is very helpful and friendly.

Fall 2016 Decisions - MSW (Masters in Social Work)
Opt4theBest replied to morningjunky's topic in Social Workers Forum
Brendon, can you also give me some tips on how to break the legs during the admissions interview? I have an interview with Columbia on March 11 at 10am. Though I am a domestic applicant, given that I earned my undergrad degree overseas, they want to make sure that I can communicate well.- 41 replies

Hi All, I come close to my deadline to accept my offer from Fordham. They gave me 30 days to decide but given that other schools are delay in informing me the decisions, I have not heard back to my 2 other schools (one of them is my top choice). I wonder if anyone have had an experience requesting for a deadline extension after the 30 day period is up? Thank you all! congrats to all who have been accepted and I wish those who are still waiting will hear back from Fordham very soon. Best of luck!

Hi! I've applied to Case Western on Jan 20 but haven't heard anything. Is this strange? I don't see any update on the portal. Thank you!

Thank you FT-Grad2016. You're so kind. I will remain positive. However, to be honest, at this point I only want to hear the decisions so that I can move on and only focus on the school where I have been admitted.

I was surprised to receive an invitation to an international applicant interview this morning. The interview is scheduled for March 4th. When I asked, the admissions explained that the reason why I need to attend this interview is because I earned my undergrad degree overseas. Therefore, I won't hear the decisions from the admissions committee until I complete my interview on Friday, March 4th. At least, I do not need to keep checking my email for a little over a week. BUT now I want to know what the interview is like and the questions I should expect from the admissions. Can anyone who went through this process, share your experience with me? Thank you!

Hi everyone! I'm applying for a masters program and considering to take out the Graduate Plus Loan to cover both my tuition and living expenses (housing, transport, etc) during the next 2 years of studies. However, I do not know as to when and how to start the process. I wonder if anyone has ever experienced or applied for this type of loan before. FYI - I applied for FAFSA in January and I believe that is the first step. Am I right? Thank you so much!
