  1. I checked on Albert one day after i.e. Jan 29th and saw that no required materials were missing and see all items checked off (on 28th when I checked saw that one of my recommendation letter was missing) so I assum that that is how NYU tells us that our application was completed. Also, on Feb 4, I received an email from NYU with this language: "On behalf of our faculty, we look forward to having your completed application evaluated and rendering you a decision soon. Good luck. Respectfully, Robert Sommo Assistant Dean of Enrollment Services" Have you received this letter yet? I remember Brandon said if we receive this letter, it means that our application is under review and can expect to hear back from them a week later.
  2. Hi aramirez and MSW768! When was your application competed? Was it the same day you submitted to the School? Because the school wouldn't review your application unless all the materials are received. My Albert showing that my application was completed on Jan 29.
  3. Hi! Have you decided what to do? Also, may I ask when did you submit your application to Fordham and NYU?
  4. BrendonSW, it's now the time to add NYU to your signature (up there )
  5. Me too. My essays to all grad schools I applied were based on my personal and professional but first hand experiences. By the way, Fordham room is too quiet. No one else has been accepted lately? I hope to hear from the admissions soon.
  6. Thank you AMcCoy! I'm glad they consider all elements of an application when deciding how much scholarship shall be given. I thought they only looked at GPA. Yay!
  7. AMcCoy, Is there any case that they don't give scholarship at all?
  8. I thought we could email the scanned transcript to them. That is how I did mine. Anyway, once they receive your mail, they will update your application status and you should receive an email confirmation similar to the one below: Dear XYZ,The Office of Admission is pleased to inform you that your application to the Master of Social Work degree program at Fordham GSS is now complete, and will move forward to the Admissions Committee for review. You will be notified of the admission decision electronically within 4-6 weeks via e-mail, at which time you will be directed to log on to your Application Status page to view your decision letter. As a reminder, you may log on to your Application Status page by clicking here. You submitted an application to the Lincoln Center campus, Leadership and Macro Practice: Focus A - Human Services Leadership concentration, Full-Time 2 Year plan of study, for the 2016 Fall term. Please notify us immediately if these details are not correct.Sincerely, Fordham University Graduate School of Social Service Office of Admission
  9. Thanks Joy. This makes me feel a lot better. The wait is really killing me right now
  10. I submitted my application in Jan, too - Jan 20th to be exact. I hope we will hear soon I can't really predict their admissions timeline.
  11. Thank you BrendonSW and congrats to your acceptance to NYU! FT-Grad2016. Let's count down!
  12. Hi everyone, I have received this email this morning. I wonder if you all have received this letter and whether or not I can estimate how many days from today, I can expect to hear back from NYU. 13. You can do it. Trust me.
  14. Congrats to those who have been accepted to USC! And for those who are still waiting to hear back from Uni, you will be next!
  15. Only merit based scholarship then I guess. With FAFSA you will get something like 20K per year
  16. When you said "the second round of admissions", did you mean those apply after the priority deadline but within the regular deadline in January? X
  17. If there is nothing missing, soon you will receive an email with the subject "Your Application is Complete" by Graduate School of Social Service. I submitted my on January 17th, but I didn't received the email until January 20th.
  18. Trust me your profile is way better than mine and I am still applying to Columbia. I heard people with sub 3 GPA got it to Columbia so I don't think GPA plays major part when it comes to grad school admission. I could be wrong but I want you to try. With good essay, recommendation and resume (relating work experience), you should be fine. You won't be regret!
  19. Case Western anyone?
  20. tudor3x8, but did you see your status on Albert change before receiving the email from NYU? I wonder if the status will change from day one we submit all application materials.
  21. Hi All, May I ask when you say you see your application is complete, is that because NYU sent you an specific email to confirm on that or you checked on NYU Albert portal yourself? I didn't receive any email from NYU, but I checked on Albert on Jan 28th and all my documents were received as there were check marks next to them. Thanks guys!
  22. Wow everyone you all are amazing!
  23. Wonderful!
  24. Think it is normal. Don't be worried or else you can email Monica at gssadmission@fordham.edu to confirm that nothing is missing from your application. I emailed her and it ensured me. Monica Wilson, Executive Secretary FORDHAM UNIVERSITY gssadmission@fordham.edu
  25. When did you submit your application for NYU? Congrats!
