  1. Aha forgot to add. It's PhD program for sure? Haven't heard any back from Columbia (environmental health) as well?
  2. Thank you! I received an official email which includes a letter from the program director. Other than that, I have no idea who would be my mentor but guess I will figure it out soon…I did write in my SOP that who I want to work with. Also I didnt email any professor there pre/post application?? this is beyond imagination??? I am really excited!
  3. Ahhhhhhh got accepted by USC's population, health and place program without interview!!! ???
  4. Wondering if the person who posted Drexel Epi acceptance is here…would you mind letting me know if it's an official or unofficial email? Did you interviewed with them? Thank you very much!
  5. I will say: JHU, WUSTL, Harvard. (Not a HPM app though) I may just take it as a reference and pay extra consideration on mentor/research interest.
  6. I'm sure it is not an interview event. Here's what they replied: "This is not a key component to the admission process, but rather a way for prospective students to learn more about the School, our professor, and students. There is no interview component that day for our program- interviews will be conducted later via phone or Skype for those who advance in the admission process."
  7. OMG sounds so cruel to me… It's like " I cannot officially say it as a rejection but better be prepared" …pat I saw someone posted an I nterview invitation from Columbia Epi.I assume no news for me maybe a bad sign… I reached out to Drexel last week since I cannot attend their "Droctoral Students Day". The program coordinator said that invitation to Droctoral Students Day is not a key component to the admission. They will interview potential candidates in the future. So don't give up
  8. I know it may be an odd track, but curious anyone applied to USC Population, Health and Place PhD program and heard anything back? Thank you!
  9. I know that feeling!!! Hang in there, despite the anxiety....No news doesn't mean a bad news! It's just mid-January
  10. UNC's decision process to me is a bit "non-traditional" From my past experience (2016 cycle), POI emailed me in late February saying "just reviewed" my application; interview was in mid-March; wait-list was in early April and formal rejection came late April..... Hope this helps!
  11. Firstly congrats!!! I feel there is no need for you to "commit" right now since founding/mentor is not clear at this point. A thank you message would not serve as commitment for sure. When the official offer comes, generally they will include a deadline for you to reply, and any formal reply to that offer message would be considered "commitment". P.S. My friend committed to school A last year, and got an offer from her top choice afterwards (in crazy late April!). It was a chaos for her and for both programs, but she ended up her best choice.
  12. Mine was from the professor who I indicated as my POI on the online application form. I guess they are doing *massive* interviews this year?, which may be a good thing, though
  13. So far as I've heard from information sessions of those programs, once SOPHAS is complete, they can access to your data. Don't be worry. It took two weeks (in my case) for SOPHAS to verify…
  14. This week is crazy to me (both at work and with my application?). I'll update my data to the results search once I get my computer back? General rejection email from JHU-Environmental Sciences and Epidemiology tack; Skype interview invitation from my professor of interest as indicated on application (Harvard PHS-EH track) This is juuuust the beginning of January… I've got two rejections in pocket? Anyway, good luck to those who applied to JHU. I believe no news is a good news.
  15. My company obviously blocked the result page, so that I had a hard time to submitting my data… My friend applied to PHS-EPI and heard back today to schedule a skype interview by a professor. Seems that professors are reaching individuals instead of admin sending out general emails. So I assume that it may takes a while for them to send out all the invitations. (That assumption makes me feel better???
  16. Thanks all for your information! In terms of JHU, not sure about IH, but I applied for Environmental Health and haven't heard anything back.
