I'm an early modernist (like, apparently, everyone else in this thread lol), Rebeca Helfer emailed me. We haven't set up an official time yet, but I'm waiting on her email now.
Who is yours?? Are you going to the visit next month?
I have this same fear of asking too many questions before the prospective students weekend. I got an email from a POI offering to answer any questions and the cool, calm part of my brain is like "yeah, girl, just tell her you'll see her next month." But then the other 95% is like "ASK EVERYTHING! WHAT IS CLASS LIKE? WHERE WILL I LIVE? DO YOU HAVE MY FAVORITE KIND OF OATMEAL?!"
The struggle is very real over here.
This sounds like such a silly question, but what is the typical dress code for these weekends? I tend to live in jeans and semi-nice tops, would that be too casual? I want to be comfortable but also certainly don't want to seem disrespectful.
Im sure there will eventually be some sort of itinerary to help with this, too, but I'm a paranoid planner lol
Thank you all so much! I know it's just one school, but it seriously feels like all of my work up to now has been legitimized. And yes, @KTF87, it weirdly does! lol
Got into Irvine! Got an email from DGS this morning apologizing for some of the letters going out late and causing confusion with his correction email. Any confusion is totally worth it at this point though! Holy crap, this was definitely a school I had totally taken myself out of the running for! So excited!!
Did anybody else get an email this morning from UC Irvine DGS? I woke up to an email basically saying "I look forward to discussing our program with you in the coming days but in the meantime please note the following email correction."
Am I taking an inch (or more accurately, a tiny little millimeter) and running 10,000 miles with that? Or am I justified in thinking this is going to lead to good news?
AHHHHH
