  1. Thank you so much! Congratulations again!
  2. Awesome. I will continue to check my email every five minutes lol. Still haven't heard anything! I think they send out decisions in waves.
  3. Thank you! I submitted mine on the 28th of November, and my last recommendation letter was submitted on the 1st of December. Hoping I hear back very soon!
  4. Hmm...that sucks that MPH programs do want the info! I'm only doing MSW but I think I indicated that my parents would not be paying at all...my dad did offer to loan me some money so I don't owe the government, but I don't remember if I included that.....
  5. Ohhh yeah, they are using 2015. I knew that, sorry for forgetting! Do they see that you were considered a dependent then? As a graduate student you're considered independent regardless, no? And you don't have to submit your parents' information? That's what my research told me, and I did not submit my parents' info. There's still hope! I wouldn't give up, maybe Simmons just takes longer to reply. And it wouldn't hurt to call them and ask! I'm sure you'll get in to a great school.
  6. Wow, congratulations on your acceptance!! How early was your application complete? Best of luck with your other schools, and with making your decision!
  7. I don't know, when I was admitted by NYU they reminded me to submit my FAFSA ASAP. I already had, but I don't think they would remind you to if you were supposed to have done so already before they send an admission letter? How was it changed?
  8. Someone on this thread got into Columbia today!!! I'm checking my email so much now!
  9. Social problems
  10. OMG CONGRATS!! Did you get an email or just check the web portal?
  11. TODAY?!? Holy wow that's super surprising. I'm a little skeptical about that too, but honestly I can't help but be hopeful!!!! Best of luck to you!
  12. Thank you! And yes, it will. I'm sure it'll be exciting when you get into UConn!
  13. Ooh best of luck to you as well! Fingers crossed you get in! I'm applying to an insane 17 schools...and my top choice is Columbia. The wait is agonizing!
  14. Actually it was a couple weeks after! UIC versus University of Chicago. I applied to both I'm applying to UConn right now! I dont think I'll attend though...
  15. Congratulations! Do you know how CSULB is supposed to notify? Is it email, or will they send a letter? Since we had to mail in or hand deliver a physical application, I'm not too sure.
  16. Maybe we should contact admissions and ask? May not hurt.
  17. I'm also curious: which method and area of practice are you all thinking you want to study? I vacillate between all of the methods LOL. I'd love to see real life results by doing direct practice with people but I also want to take part in wider systemic change by working in policy. I'm strongly considering the mezzo AGPP track for that reason. And I think I want to do the Contemporary Social Issues method, though I'm not entirely sure. I want to work with or for the LGBTQ community in some capacity so I'll have to figure out which study areas are the best for that! Luckily as part of the two year program I would have time to choose! What is everyone else considering?
  18. Those are some amazing stats and experience!! I'm no admissions counselor it sounds to me like you would be a shoe-in!
  19. I've been accepted to University of Illinois at Chicago! I won't be attending, as Michigan and NYU are higher on my list (I applied to way too many schools...whoops) but it's still cool. And if anyone else has applied there, hopefully you'll hear back soon!
  20. That's what I've seen too, and I watched an infosession webinar about the program and the admissions counselor leading the discussion said applicants would hear back on or before March 1st. That was for this application cycle. I didn't think it would be this early!
  21. WOW really?!? Damn...now I'm gonna be furiously checking my application page and my email...

  23. Hello! Your stats are great! I wish you luck Columbia's program has a 40-50% acceptance rate so I'm hopeful for both of us I believe international applicants and online program applicants have to interview? I'm not sure on that, though.
