Unless you find that one of the profs who has a say in your future also smokes, I'd recommend getting an e-cig. They will take care of a few hours without one and you can use them anywhere (namely the bathroom or somewhere else out of sight). Yes, fellow smoker, I feel your pain.

I had mused before that id make a video like college football players do grabbing the hat of the school I'm picking, if I got in. Now that I have a reject, I'm thinking that instead I'll just burn the shit I've got from schools that deny me. I think it'd be cathartic.

Here's some perspective for ya: I got an update that says, "An admissions decision has been rendered." But, it won't show me what the decision is. And, I have no idea how long it will take to update. Today? Tomorrow? A month? Good luck on the interview.

Well it's not looking good for me. I didn't get the interview invite, and I see on my application status that a decision has been rendered. Unfortunately, when I click to see the decision that part hasn't updated yet so I am in limbo hell right now. This early, no interview, it's not looking good anyway. I am going to stop psychotically hitting refresh and try to distract myself with something else.

Yeah. My moodiness is reaching all time highs now. People from my program at school are starting to get acceptances. Granted, I didn't apply to any of the schools they have, but it's pissing me off. I have yet to hear a damn thing from anyone. I'd almost take a rejection just to hear something! Plus, I'm getting sick of reading posts on the board that go something like, "Hi Everyone! I am perfect in every way! I have a perfect GPA and a perfect GRE and the perfect professor at the perfect uni is perfectly in love with me! And even though I'm so perfectly perfect, I'm apparently not smart enough to know my chances, so I'll ask you all, 'What are my chances?'" Sod off! Those are your chances! Now stop reminding the rest of us how mediocre we are you perfect ass! (That's why I posted this is the moody thread). I've gotten worse.

Do you ever wonder if the adcomm's can see how many times we've logged into the appliction status website? And how hard they laugh? "We've got a new record here!"
