  1. I would start by trying the grad secretary and if they don't know, Id advise emailing your POI. Be really dipolomatic in your email, tell your POI that you're excited to have made it this far and you would appreciate any info they could give you on your rank on the wait list and/or when you might hear for sure. I would pose it less as a direct question and more of a 'if you could give me any further info it would be greatly appreciated.' Sorry you're feeling so disappointed. This process is really gruelling
  2. it was down a few days ago too. </3
  3. i didn't interview at ryerson but i don't think it would be the worst thing to contact your POI thanking them for their time etc. i wouldnt explicitly ask about the status of your application but it might help you to hear back sooner? (assuming you haven't already done this)
  4. i know, it's the worst. she has provided me w/ references in the past and our relationship was positive but it's been over 2 yrs since we last touched base. thanks for the advice! ill try that
  5. thanks! this school only required 2 but i think b/c my POI recognized the name of someone i have worked w/ in the past, she also wanted to hear from them. unfortunately i haven't been able to get in touch w this person
  6. no worries - thanks for letting us know. CCP is clinical and counselling MA, yes?
  7. did OISE do interviews for the counselling MA program?
  8. im so sorry to pollute this thread w my endless questioning about york. that being said - has anyone heard anything from/about york?
  9. If the York poster was indeed someone who applied to clinical psyc, would you mind PMing me your POI as well?
  10. someone posted on the results page abt an interview at YorkU for 'Psychology, Masters' and mentioned they were invited to the open house Feb24th. anyone know if that poster is likely referring to a psych program other than clinical?
  11. question for those of you who have interviewed so far - i'm wondering how closely matched you were to your POI in terms of past research experience and research interests?
  12. maybe it's like the analogy ppl sometimes make when you're going through a breakup - like, the pain lets you know you really cared lol... i think it can be good to care about something so much. hang in there my gradcafe amigos.
  13. It's SO BAD. I'm probably more neurotic than others but I honestly must check my email several times an hour and check my app status online up to 3 or 4 times a day. It's brutal. I keep thinking, god forbid I have to apply again next year bc this year, waiting has been far worse than I expected.
  14. thanks. that sucks but im sure it's a sign of the quality of your app that your POI emailed you directly. good luck w your other apps
  15. can i ask - did you email your POI re: your application and then they emailed you back? or did their email just come out of the blue?
  16. thank you jay's brain for the update!
  17. Do POIs review applications individually? I still don't understand the review process
  18. My top choice is York. I also applied to Ryerson, UTSC, OISE counselling, Western, and Waterloo. Was rejected from Waterloo - haven't heard from any others.
  19. i can't see my actual sin # on my profile but the secretary i emailed told me they had it. i think maybe i entered it when i applied to western a few years ago but im not really sure
  20. I think the deadline is jan31. If you're having trouble make sure you've entered your sin# on your app profile. I had to contact them to figure it out https://grad.uwo.ca/current_students/student_finances/ogs.html
  21. haha thank you B-Allen! wishing the best for all of us
