    i am somewhat ashamed of the lengths i just went to in order to determine if my POI could also have been at a conference over the last week.

    i applied to western but haven't applied to OGS. i haven't heard abt an interview yet and i was trying to time it so that i knew about a decision before i submitted an app...

    the wait to hear back is KILLING me and i'm tempted to reach out to some of my POIs as well but i've stopped myself b/c i'm afraid that it may come across as pushy. after all, if POIs want to interview you, they will get in touch... right? any thoughts? has anyone had success w reaching out to a POI after submitting an app? that being said, i've emailed a few grad secretaries and they have been nice/informative.

    does anyone know how many applicants POIs typically interview? feeling pretty bummed that i haven't heard from any schools abt an interview yet and was just wondering...

    I applied to OISE and haven't heard from them yet. I think you can expect to hear from them a little bit later based on when people heard last year. Like late Feb-March.

    Can anyone explain the application review process? I am applying to Canadian schools and notice someone posted about getting an interview at one of the universities I applied to. Last year, it appears that while some applicants heard about interviews in early Jan, some heard as late as mid-Feb. Does each prof review files on their own time? And if so, do they contact applicants they're most interested in first? Any info would be appreciated.
