  1. I was rejected the first year I applied, and received it the second! And I know this is not uncommon. Go for it, and do your best to up the ante second time around!
  2. My husband will be accompanying me, however we will not be eligible for the subsidy since he will be working. If the partner is employed, they are not eligible, and given that the subsidy is very minimal (less than 300 euros) we wouldn't be able to make do on my stipend + subsidy alone.
  3. This seems like a dumb question but we did not have to sign the declaration of acceptance, correct? I would have thought we would, but there's no signature line?
  4. Yes! Got mine too! So so so happy and relieved!!
  5. Any USA applicants on "funding" with a confirmation email yet? Crossing my fingers that comes today! My target status changed from the incorrect "doctoral candidate" to graduates which is a relief!
  6. Yes same, not taking this for granted until I get more information/confirmation! I believe what it should say is "Graduate", since that's what was listed there previously but I am hoping its a simple typo.
  7. Hi there! For USA applicants whose status changed to Funding today, have you received an email or a new document in the portal with any more information? My status changed to Funding (yay!) however where is lists the study dates and target institution it also says Doctoral Candidate, which I am not. I am applying as an MA student (and I checked mt application again and that was absolutely clear). So I am nervous that the change to Funding is an error....
  8. Hello! Not sure if anyone is still reading this thread, but for those of you who received a grant for a master's study grant, were you given a "grade" out of 10 points? I applied for the first time this year, but was rejected. In the email they said I missed getting a grant "marginally" but I am wondering if they just say that to everyone. They said I was evaluated at 8,75/10 points, so for those of you who were accepted, I am wondering how far behind I was, so whether or not it would be worth a shot to apply for funding for my second year. Thanks!
  9. Hey! I am also applying for master program funding. Very nervously waiting for the April 2017 answer. Since we aren't going to hear back until either after or right before masters program application deadlines, I am assuming you are also going to start submitting those before hearing back about DAAD funding?
