Yeah, for sure. That's definitely not the case for me, but I think that's an accurate portrayal of a lot of cases and summarizes the struggle at a lot of programs.

Agreed. My CV is comparable with the posts on the bulletin, so toss me into that mix. I was also in touch with multiple faculty who were enthusiastic about my application, so I'm a bit perplexed.

Sorry to hear that :( Me too. Someone posted on the results board that they had 4 years of experience and 5 first author publications. Really makes you wonder... The program must have a really high bar for undergraduate GPA or something. I would love to be a fly on the wall when these decisions are being made.

I'm also curious about this. It looks like they usually send out all their invites within the same couple days, so I'm a little worried...

Does anyone else get the feeling that this is one of those “log jam” years, where a lot of people are waiting on someone else before releasing their own offer to a different school? It just seems (andcdotally) like I’m seeing a higher number of posts asking “has anyone heard from....?” than in past years.
