  1. Hi, I have been searching the web in hopes to find more information about the University of Pennsylvania. Unfortunately, I really haven't found any personal stories or testimonals about the school. I am interested whether they offer solid funding for graduate students, specifically in Fine Art?? Are there any students/alum out there who attend or have attended the school thatt wouldn't mind sharing their experience? (From any field )
  2. Yeah, she told me the same. So whether it is tonight or another day, we shall see. Either way, I don't want a telephone call with bad news....
  3. Ok, i am going to take your word for it! Itt sounds legit ha ?
  4. She told me she would be calling or Skyping accepted candidates. ?
  5. That's great you were admitted. I was only informally accepted, I am still waiting for the real deal! Ha. A lot of waiting, no wonder it's a virtue
  6. That is really great, congratulations!!!! Is it unusual to not hear about funding for a couple weeks after your acceptance? Or do most people find out the day they get accepted?
  7. So, even though I've gotten an 'acceptance' letter in an informal email with the University of Washington, I never had an interview or anything like That. But I did speak with one of the professors and she informed me that they were only accepting 4 - people which was pretty strange. The conversation seemed to be an interview though. so, my question is Can you get accepted only to get rejected? I don't even know, I'm so confused. When I spoke with her she said that they were busy talking to prospective students and that the professors will get back to me. I don't know if this means if I am just a candidate or am I a prospective student? Or they only selected me for an interview? In my informal acceptance letter she congratulated me for being a candidate! What the hell does this all mean !!!! Also every time I've had an interview I have been so nervous and inarticulate and crazy sounding that I'm pretty sure they think I'm a dumby. I cannot seem to talk about my work under pressure at all!!!

  9. Well, ive been to texas but not Houston- i did not like texas. When they say 'dont mess w texas' they really mean it. Seattle i have been to, and i found it beautiful! Buti was there one day so i cant really say other than that! But i do hear mixed feelings from people, some day its too good for its britches. Some say its isolated and likes to remain happy in its little isolated bubble. Lol. My profssay they love it and that people are intelligent! I am thinking about movIng to seattle for gradschool, but im not 100% certain. So i probably didnt help much!
  10. I was accepted into the MFA program at the university of Washington in Seattle. However I am still waiting to hear about funding. I am also assuming that different departments will send out letters at different times?
  11. If you are not in debt by now then 60 K is not so bad? But if you already have undergrad debt then yeah I think that's a lot. Although all my professors who have gone to the art institute have a lot of debt. Standard i guess?
  12. Hmmm.. this is going to be interesting for me as well.
  13. In my undergrad I exceeded the number of credit hours and as a result my financial aid was totally cut- including loan and grand. I'm curious whether this will affect my the funding for grad school? Or is the realm of gradschool funding totally different? I have been accepted into two programs already- waiting funding. im sad if i dont get any money, i wont be able to go to school whats so ever? I get soo far onlyto be denied . ??? any suggestions, ideas, experiences?
  14. I was also accepted to the University of Washington in Seattle and I'm still waiting for the funding... good luck
