    The funding bodies are completely independent so being rejected from Gates does not mean you're advantaged for other awards, unfortunately. The email is a generic rejection mentioning they had a lot of applications and they had to make hard decisions.

    Don't despair, a guy from the TSR forum called the Gates Trust and they said they will send invitations until next Monday.

    Someone on the The Student Room forum has asked the foundation and received the answer that interview invitations will begin to be sent from next week! Until approx. mid March.

    Yes I received an offer for the MPhil in Advanced Computer Science. It took me a week to go from BoGS to offer.

    If you are at BoGS then you should receive a offer soon. No interview, your department has already given you an offer. The BoGS is checking now that you have all the requirements, and will set all the conditions (including English requirements). Not sure if they will make an exception for a 24 instead of a 25, you should ask them once you receive an offer.

    It really doesn't mean anything. It was sent to everyone, it's a survey aimed at collecting info on how they can improve their processes.

    Hi, Any applicant for the Msc in Computer Science at Oxford, that submitted for the January deadline? I'm starting to see some interview invitations on the result page. I submitted my answers to the questions on the 13th of January.

    You could ask your other universities for a deadline extension, they are usually pretty flexible! I'm not sure we will hear any final decision before March as Oxford reserves itself 6 to 8 weeks to process applications.

    Don't worry, I think most of us of the January deadline are still waiting, be it for a Msc or MPhil.
