  1. I was fortunate to be offered at UCLA (after being on the waitlist) this last Friday. Couldn't be happier! Now I just have to decide between there and Oregon....
  2. Just to update, in case anybody else is wondering what's out there. So far I've been rejected by U. Washington and CU Boulder...neither were a particularly great fit for me but they sting just the same. I have been accepted to Oregon, and I'm still waiting on Syracuse and UCLA, though I got an email from the latter saying they hope to make all of their decisions by March 1st. Continued luck to everyone.
  3. I received an acceptance from U of O mid last week, no interview. I did, however, have an in, in that I did my undergraduate in geography there and got along well with the individual I would like to work with. Best of luck!
  4. @Journosci how'd you find out? I applied to CU Boulder's Master's. My application still just says "submitted"....
  5. Rejected by U Washington. It was kind of a throwaway and not really what I wanted anyways, but it still stings. Four opportunities left.
  6. Well I'm pretty late to the game, to this thread and GradCafe in general. I applied to Master's/PhD programs at: UCLA, Syracuse, University of Oregon, University of Washington, CU Boulder I had a couple others I considered but didn't really want to live any of those places, so this is where I'm at. My area of focus is political geography. I was a geography (as well as international studies) undergrad, graduated with a honors and a 3.96 GPA. Been out of school for several years though, pursuing other things. One of my applications was to my alma mater, and one of the professors I'd like to work with was also a letter writer, and he just shot me an email asking how things were going and saying my materials "look good," so I guess that means it's in the process, at least there. I'm basically trying not to think about decisions at all, and hoping to be surprised when they show up. Though it's getting harder by the day to maintain that attitude.
