    Just found out I’m waitlisted for funding at one of my top choices and the only PhD program to which I was admitted (I’m graduating in May with my bachelors). Super sad ???

    Considering Knoxville for PhD. I have a family with three young kids. Can anyone speak to family housing, childcare, or public schools?

    I already got my reject from Geography, but I hope to still be admitted to the Comparative Studies program, though I'm not very hopeful. I got to visit with Becky Mansfield and Nancy Ettlinger last fall and they were really great. I hope I get the chance to work with Nancy sometime. Thanks for the well wishes for us all!

    Congratulations!! I’m waiting on a student conduct review at UTK because of some 20-year old stupidity, but they said the decision had been made and they’re waiting on the grad school to make their decision. I’m hoping that’s good news since I’m pretty sure they could send a rejection without getting permission from the graduate school first. (that’s what I keep telling myself while I’m waiting) Who are you hoping to work with?!
