The deadline to respond to offers for the MPPGA was March 30, if that helps! They will likely send out another round of offers soon.

I'll be considering off-campus housing to experience more of the city! It seems that there are quite a few options close to campus, and hopefully it will be cheaper as well.

Oxford University 2017 Entry MPP Applicants?
thebigcheese replied to Marqueetim's topic in Waiting it Out
Congratulations on your acceptances! I was also rejected from Oxford, but I was just accepted into LSE's MPA program. I'm also concerned about the funding for the program....it's definitely a pricey one! -
Ooh good luck!! I applied for the Master of Public Policy; I received the rejection email yesterday. They received 762 applicants for 120 spots, so my hopes weren't too high haha

Congrats to those who were accepted into Munk! I was also accepted I'll have to make some pro/con lists for UBC vs. UoT. On another note, I was rejected from Oxford (but that's fine!).

Congrats on the UOttawa offers On a side note about Munk, no email today, but my status on ACORN updated! I'm taking it as a good sign...hopefully tomorrow will be the day we hear back. My status is still 'Under Review' though.

http://portal.publicpolicy.utoronto.ca/EN/MPPMPAPROGRAMS/TORONTOMUNK/Pages/default.aspx (Altas of Public Policy and Management) I just came across this website, but I thought it may be helpful for some who are comparing different schools and programs It looks like they have profiles for Munk, NPSIA, etc.

Ahh, I also got funding from UBC!!! 12k for the first year, with a potential 8k in the second year

A bit late to the party, but CONGRATULATIONS to everyone!!! This is so exciting. Happy for you all

I also applied to Munk, Oxford, LSE and King's College London (the last three were just long shots). I had the same concerns about how new the MPPGA is, but UBC is well-recognized and it looks like there is the option for co-op. I was going to email the admin to see if they could clarify what type of placements are available, but from what I can see from LinkedIn (I was a bit curious what current students were up to...), students have worked at the Centre for Southeast Asia Research, ‎Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada, and Inter-American Development Bank. I am not too familiar with these organizations, but they seem like decent positions? I like the idea of the Global Policy Project (GPP) too, but I haven't heard anything about it. I also saw that last year's cohort was fairly small, which I thought was an advantage. However, I wonder if that is the same for next year's cohort or if they accepted more students this time. As for the courses, others have mentioned that they may not have very much substance, but if they have decent co-op positions and GPP partners, it may still be worth it? It's a tough call...I agree that it is a pretty expensive program!

I've been accepted too! I haven't heard anything about funding either, but hopefully we get something

My application for Munk is also 'under review'... Tomorrow's going to be a tough day to focus at work!

Thank you both, Duplified and sonsofeasterly, for your thoughts! I'll also consider reaching out to current students in the program to make my decision. Fingers crossed for Munk though!

Hi everyone! I've been following this thread for a while, so I thought I'd finally post as I am also anxiously waiting for Munk. Good to know that our wait should be over early/mid next week. I've been accepted into UBC's MPPGA program; has anyone heard anything about this one? It's a newer program (currently in its second year). I also applied to the University of Oxford, King's College London and London School of Economics and Political Science, but they were all long shots! I don't expect to hear from these until the end of the month.
