Just emailed Purdue and got a response in under one minute: "Your application has been reviewed but no final decision has been made regarding your application. We have already sent out admission offers and more offers could be sent out before June 15th. However, chances are low at this point in the process". I believe someone else had already posted this response in the result page so maybe it's an automated one. Seems like I have a little more waiting to do...

I have not. I'm not in the US so I'm a little coy about straight up calling. I'll probably email them and see if I get any response. I'll definitely do that, I didn't want to seem too pushy or desperate :p. @gdala Congrats on your other opportunity! To which program are you applying at Pitt?

So, it's a week after the 15th and I've yet to hear from two universities (Purdue and Pitt). I know it's probably too late but I refuse to completely lose hope. Am I just being naive? I know it's a long shot by now but I cannot believe they would keep us in uncertainty for this long without, at least, some reason. Do any of you guys have some input? I'm really just offloading and venting a little bit so any comment is welcome. Congrats to everyone that was already accepted!

Same boat here, I've been able to keep my email/application-status checking to once a day. However, I've been like this since early February when I started finding results for my programs on the result page. The wait is absolutely brutal, at this point I just wish I got ANY response just to end the suffering.

Same boat here, only applied to 3 Ph.D. programs and haven't heard back from any of them. So glad I found this community, if anything just to realize that I'm not alone in this. Slowly losing hope though, since I've read several times that "anyone without any kind of approach by the program by April should assume rejection..." Hope that's not our case

Hey @kurfew007 thanks for the reply! On a brief update, I've since gotten responses from both ND and Pitt. ND's was "At this time applications are still being reviewed. Decisions have not yet been made. We thank you sincerely for your patience." and Pitt's was "...a decision will likely be made within 6-8 weeks approximately by the mid-week of March. We thank you for your patience...". It's a little comforting to at least know that they're still reviewing applications and that not all hope is lost. I'm a little worried that I didn't get to have an interview, though. Anyhow, I wish you and everyone here the best of luck! Maybe we'll see each other there!

Profile: International. Went to a public state uni for both undergrad and MS. Top of the class in both. Currently working as a lab technician and undergrad professor at the same uni. 8+ years of undergrad teaching experience. Applying to PhD programs only. Specialization: Machine learning, information retrieval and pattern recognition. GPA: 3.68/4.0 (undergrad), 4.0/4.0 (grad) GRE: 167Q / 162V / 4.0A SOP: not sure, it's my first time writing one. I wasn't too specific on research topic interests. LOR: should be strong. One from my MS advisor. 2 from grad professors and 1 from friend in the same field. No famous people, tough. Research: 1 publication as lead author in an international pattern recognition congress. Applied to: Purdue (West Lafayette), Notre Dame and Pittsburgh. Haven't heard from any of them yet. Comments: I wasn't feeling discouraged before reading this thread. I figured "no news is good news", at least I haven't been rejected yet. Yesterday I emailed the admissions department of all 3 uni's and so far have only gotten a response from Purdue which stated that my "application is still under review, which may take until mid-april" I figured that means I've been wait-listed or something. What do you guys think? Is it too late for some good news? I check for results every day and acceptances are still being posted every so often.
