  1. Thank you so much for your reply and sorry for the late reply. I found your posts quite empowering especially for someone who's self dubious and unconfident at the moment. I get a little bit scared by the idea of posting my portfolio. To be honest, I feel I lack in so many directions. After a few days of consideration, I decided to do it not only because I want to share my work and get feedbacks, but also since I know I need to start working from there. There was time I feel so bad about my old paintings that I want to start over and do something completely different. Now I see (and maybe it's just for me), I would prefer to build on to the old ones. I'll PM you too, please check the inbox. Thank you so much! Here's my personal website: www.yeqinart.com
  2. Hello! Thank you for your posts and you are being amazingly resourceful already! Last year I applied to several programs and got a few interviews, but I was not admitted (a few rejects and two waitlist).I would be very interested in knowing if you have any advices to further develop one's application, fix what's "wrong" or "weak". I did my undergrad majoring in a non-art field in a small LAC (though I do have an art minor, I was one class away from getting a studio art major, but I did a year-long individual study in painting), I wonder if that was a "minus point". I prepare to apply again this year, narrowing down the programs that I will apply to, to make sure I get enough insights about the school, the location, the faculty members and the supporting resources.
  3. congrats on NYU!!! I am waitlisted but decided to wait as I was given a skype introduction after my interview about this program and really liked it. LingX22 I just received my email! Good luck and finger crossed...
