I don't know if it's good or bad. I can tell you that last year I got rejected from U of A on April 26. There were many people on this forum who had reported offers, rejections and waitlist status right up until then. The waiting is painful but we shall all hear back soon, and hopefully good news!

Hi there, any nurses here? I’ve been accepted into the MPH at UVic and the MN at another school. Both programs will allow me to pursue the thesis of my interest and have faculty doing research on it as well. The main difference is that the MPH courses seem way more interesting. I made a SWOT spreadsheet on each and both seem to be in perfect balance of pros and cons. your thoughts?

Congratulations on your admission!!! May I ask you what your "stats"are? GPA, experience etc? I am not certain they will ever get back to me on how I can make my application stronger so you may be able to give me some idea. Again, congrats and good luck!

Rejected from U of A MPH health promotion. I hope they get back to me as to what I am not competitive on. If anyone here is accepted into this program I would love to hear about their experience and attributes.

I also have "requires action" on U of A beartracks, I always had that and contacted them about it in February. they told me to ignore beartracks and only rely on the grad application portal for status updates. Now if only the latter would budge from "under review"!!! I applied in early November so this is getting ridiculous.

I am curious: what and where was your undergrad? I am sorry to hear about your denial and hope you get into another program of your choice. i am anxious because I am also out of province but had my undergrad in the province..

I still get "under review" for U of A and it's killing me. I emailed them yesterday but no response. I'm already developing skills in patience and perseverance at least....

I also received my acceptance into UVIc MPH. It was sent by email. My application status on the portal still says "under review" though.

@joecollard6 when exactly did you hear?On March 20th, I received a message through the application portal stating that " Due to a higher than expected number of applications, our review process will be slower than in previous years. Please be assured your file will be reviewed in detail, and all qualified applicants will be considered for potential recruitment scholarship. We are aiming to advise all successful applicants by mid-April. I am wondering what catagory of applicants I have been placed. Hoping for the best and congratulations for being admitted!
