SLPdreamer1996 got a reaction from mud to star in What's your age when you apply for graduate program for the first time and when you get into one?
I was 21 when I began applying. 21 when I will enter the program (late birthday haha). Got in right away after my undergrad - applied to 6 schools, got into 3 (1 being my top school), wait listed in 2 schools and rejected by 1 school! My program mostly takes older candidates, so I think the average age range is between 23 and 25! Good luck.

I don't think you have anything to worry about, I have never heard of this happening. The only way that I would be concerned is if it was one of their pre-req classes and you received a grade below a B.

wow!! i am not alone! i am also worrying about this since i am taking chem. i actually have a 3.5 right now and worried that my GPA will drop to a 3.497. A lot of my friends said that this should not happen and for most courses you need at least a C to be okay (even though i'm not okay with a C). This post totally just gave me relief because I totally feel the same way. Me and my friends have absolutely no motivation and i think you're right - it could be because of the apps and gre and everything. Plus graduation is coming! Keep it going though! You will get through it. I see you got some A's in there. I think you will be fine. Alsoooo, chem and stuff isn't really required for your major (just for the license - at least in the US) so you will be ok.

Since I am a student from outside of Ontario, I was hoping to get maybe some advice on the SLP program in Western and SLP program in Toronto? What are their strengths and weaknesses? I heard that Western is more child-focused, but any additional advice would be appreciated

Contact the provinces regulatory body to see what kind of licensing they require.

For those people panicking about not hearing from the U of A:
1. Make sure you're checking your ualberta email address if they gave you one (I don't know if they did since I did undergrad there so I had one already).
2. One of my friends who is in second year SLP at the U of A said that the majority of his cohort received acceptance in late March. So you still have an entire month!
