  1. Well, I just answered my own question! I called and it turns out the summer session is equal to session "C" on the academic calendar. The dates are listed as Monday May 14-Friday August 3. But, I'd still love to get in contact with those applying!
  2. Hey all, does anyone know what the schedule would be like should we get admitted to summer semester for graduate program? I applied to traditional track, "Summer 1" through CSDCAS. When I looked at the calendar on the UCF website, there are Sessions A-D for summer with specific dates. Does Summer 1 mean A-D, or just A? I'm not finding any info anywhere! Also, would love to be in contact with anyone else who is applying! I'm from California. If I don't get in, I'll try again for Spring! Thanks everyone!
  3. @futureslp17 Their program description says it's three years of evening courses so students may also work. And that classes are offered a couple of nights per week, either in person, online or hybrid. I'm not 100%, but that is what I read on the site!
  4. They seem to put a lot of weight on the personal essays, which makes sense since they don’t require GRE scores. If I were you @Rowboat47, I might just fork over some extra cash and meet with a writing specialist to create top notch letters. Even if they’re still nit-picky with the prereqs, those letters will serve you well for other programs anyway. Might as well give it a shot! Especially since you’re not too far from the school itself. Best of luck to you, and thanks for weighing in!
  5. I have been researching these and can't seem to find definitive answers. If anyone has some insight, it would be greatly appreciated!
  6. Thanks for your help! I requested an appointment, and received an email back that the person who would be meeting me was not available. When I replied to reschedule, I got no response back. Bummer! I would keep trying but I live in CA. We'll see what happens, I am applying!
  7. I'm looking into application deadlines for Florida grad programs in February of 2018, and NOVA popped up (taking the GRE in Dec). The main campus seems to be in Fort Lauderdale, with others in Orlando, Miami, etc. They don't require the GRE according to edfind, but they also receive upwards of 900 applicants each term!! Does anyone actually go here?! It's like this mystery school and I'm hoping to find any relevant info. Thanks for the help!
  8. Hi there! I've been reading through your posts, and you are so helpful! I'm torn between applying or taking more classes to boost my GPA; my CSD courses alone give me a 3.5, but overall I'm at a 3.0 (community college from years ago)! I worked as a paraeducator for 4 years, and this will be my third consecutive quarter volunteering at an on-campus aphasia clinic. But, many people in my cohort are being denied, and it's so discouraging. It seems you had a large pool of options during your application process, but are there any that stick out in your mind that put more value on major course grades? Thank you for all your contributions!!
