  1. Probably UChicago MAPSS/CIR in the US? Although they sometimes offer partial funding, tuition there without funding can be a doozy. I've done a few visits at top 10 programs this cycle and ran into quite a few fellow admits who did or are currently doing UChicago MAPSS degree. I think someone who posted on the application cycle thread mentioned going there so you might want to PM them if you can find the mention. An application to the masters program (and for tuition funding) is automatically submitted when you apply for the Poli-Sci PhD.
  2. Hey all, claiming an informal phone admit this morning to Harvard Kennedy Political Economy and Government, applying for the political science track. Don't know if anyone else here applied but feel free to PM me if you did. I applied for both this and the GSAS Gov. program which I haven't heard back from yet. Best of luck to other applicants.
  3. Thank you! And Domestic. I live in the Northeastern corridor and it looks like it was super express, so presumably the package got here before they had the chance to reach out via email.
  4. Nope. Rifling through spam folders right now but it looks like nothing. So bizarre! Did anyone here get an email from the Department? I want to make sure I didn't miss anything
  5. What in the world, got a snail mail accept from MIT! Literally radio silence from the department or POI up to now.
  6. Someone posted a comparative subfield admit on the survey page as well so it looks like it's not subfield specific :/
  7. Further up someone said that they got an informal notification from a POI with official notifications coming today, so I wouldn't count yourself out until tomorrow. Edit: Ah nevermind looks like they've done phone calls per above.
  8. Just want to be honest that Berkeley seems fairly far along in the visits process, e.g. they've been communicating with admits about dates and flight reimbursements and whatnot. However I still haven't received any funding info from them, which might imply that there are some kinks they're working out e.g. their waitlist.
  9. I think the whole point of visits is to help decide between your options, which would involve visiting them. Certainly not a faux pas to visit more than one school. I do think if you're dead certain you're not going somewhere you shouldn't visit, but in that case I imagine you wouldn't bother anyways. Schools that are reasonable options among your choice set would probably like the chance to sell you on their school, and it's worth exploring your preferences for things like location, atmosphere, collegiality, grad student culture, etc.
  10. I also got a UW-Seattle accept, so it isn't a troll. Wouldn't know whether all of their decisions have gone out yet or not.
  11. I did to my acceptance but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. I'm sure it won't be begrudged either way. If they don't care for a response they can ignore it.
  12. I have broad political economy interests. Email said formal offer will soon follow.
  13. I also got a Princeton acceptance email from a department admin on behalf of a faculty member, so I think they're sending them out as we speak.
