Just heard from Tennessee! Admitted to the MA program in rhetoric, composition, and linguistics. ?

I seriously love this group. You guys are so supportive and I'm so glad that so many of the PhD applicants are receiving such great news.

I received two lovely emails from the Louisville grad assistant and director of the graduate English program stating that they would love for me to attend (I have been waitlisted for funded so emailed back last week saying I really admire the program but can't attend without funding) and will keep me updated immediately of changes on the funding waitlist, so I feel pretty encouraged. Program director even asked if I'd like to set up a time to talk on the phone more about the program and so he can answer any questions I may have. No matter what happens, the graduate faculty at Louisville has been so extremely kind this entire process and I'm very impressed by that. 

Also got a Dean's Fellowship from Buffalo - extra 1k for 4 years. I'm guessing others may have the same good news from Buffalo in their emails inboxes.

Our CFO has given the go ahead for me to work remotely! That means I get to keep my job! I'M SO HAPPY!

This is a bit late... but I was accepted to Columbia yesterday!! 

I just got into Columbia!!!!! I actually did not post on the board, so that must be another. I have been rejected from all 7 of my other programs, and this was the last place I was waiting on, and I just got accepted. Oh my god. I am beyond happy, grateful, and shocked. I've been looking at options for next year assuming I'd have to apply again for another round. YOU GUYS. 

That'd be way too helpful!

Someone whose forehead really ought to be gilded with a star... But, since I'm fresh out of those, all I can say is CONGRATS.  

I mean, clearly I was being a little harsh by calling them a terrible person. But I’ve found GC so comforting and inspiring, so I found the tone of the post a bit offensive. Y’all have picked me up on my worst days and celebrated with me on some of my best days. Nobody has ever made me feel insignificant or trivial on this forum, and then somebody posted that trash. I guess if you get into all those school you wouldn’t understand the anxiety of other people trying to get into ANY of their schools. /sigh.

I just spent the long weekend with my friend in Jersey! Loved it! Hoboken is rad. And they have all the bagels!
