I am an international student and don't entirely understands the difference between adjunct/tenure track/visiting professor. Could you clarify?
  3. How do I judge whether a program has good placement rates? Sometimes they only seem to list like 6 students, did that mean there were many other similar who didn't make it? Should I being looking to see I they went to prestigious unis? thanks all.
  4. They do have a point that GC can be anxiety-inducing. But I've also found people to be wonderfully supportive. Also the board has helped prepare me for inevitable rejections. So basically they can get off their yale high horse.

  6. sitting on no offers, thinking I'm heading towards all rejections so the above posts really resonate with me. I've enforced periods where I ban myself from grad cafe because it amplifies my sense of pessimism. And yet here I find myself again.

  10. How frustrating, I'm sorry. I strongly feel that the schools won't mibd about late letters. I would send an email to the faculty and say you are doing everything you can to get her to submi t the letter.
  11. can so relate to this feeling of wanting to revise everything to a point of perfection! but ultimately I think we have to accept changing the odd word here and there is not going to change anything. It's the idea that counts.

  13. Hi all, I've been lurking on this page for a longtime and thought I might as well join in. I'm finding this whole process incredibly stressful, not to mention expensive, but hopefully it will all be over soon. It's nice to see other people also going through it. I'm a British applicant applying to schools in New York in the area of modernism and technology
