I am stuck between two programs. One is my dream, my top choice, and the other is amazing as well, and has wonderful professors and opportunities. However it is kind of overshadowed by my dream school because they are in the same city. I feel stuck because if my dream school gave me even 3k more in funding a year I would send in my acceptance of their offer right now. But I feel like I don't have any way of negotiating for more money because my other offers haven't said anything about funding yet. and I feel like no one gets it, people just keep saying to go to the cheaper school but, like the other is my dream!!

Is anyone else checking the University of Denver portal obsessively or just me? I just really really want to know!

Hello! I submitted my app on 12/1 and my last LOR was in on 12/8. I was emailed by the admissions department informing me that they extended the date for early application to 12/8. They said that generally they send out early decisions by the second week of Feb. so you still have plenty of time to hear back!!

Thank you and I am! A 15k scholarship makes the school tuition comparable to other schools. I also already live in the area and share an apartment with my partner so I won't have to worry about moving or expensive housing costs! Also if anyone has questions about Hyde Park or Chicago in general I would be happy to answer them!

Just got my acceptance from University of Maryland- Baltimore. No word on funding yet but I am thrilled!

Just got my first acceptance from Loyola Chicago!!

I applied submitted my application with all my LORs in mid December. The waiting is already killing me! Has anyone thought about what they want to specialize in? I plan on concentrating in mental health if I attend.

I applied! I didn't apply to the advance standing but, I did make it in for early decision. I see from previous years that funding decisions normally come with acceptance letters or very soon after.

UIC is kind of notoriously slow with their response and I've heard that they can get back to you as late as the end of April. UChicago sent me an email indicating that they would send out decisions the first week of February for people who submitted their apps early.

Hello hello! I am nervous, excited, and somehow already tired of waiting. I have applied to 6 schools: University of Chicago SSA, University of Denver, University of Maryland, Baltimore, University of Madison, Wisconsin, Portland State, and Loyola Chicago. Everything has been submitted except my Madison Statement but am planning on submitting that this weekend. I am trying to not get too attached to any particular school but it would be nice to go to UofC as I already live up the street! Hannah
