I also had Skype interviews with professors from Brown and UIUC. The PI at Brown got in touch a week after our Skype conversation to let me know that, unfortunately, I didn’t make the cut/ wasn’t invited to official interview weekend. I believe that, at this point, all official invites have already been sent, but I could be wrong. The PI at UIUC told me they didn’t have interview days (just visiting days for students who were already accepted to the program). He contacted me afterwards to extend the offer. I also applied to Booth (Behavioral Science) and Harvard, but I haven’t heard anything back.

I was also wondering about that. I had an informal Skype interview with my POI from the social area there before applications were due and thought I had an OK chance of being invited to a formal interview, but I have heard nothing so far.

I think most Social Psychology programs haven’t sent interview invites yet. For most of the programs I applied to the official interview days are in early/mid February, so I am hoping invites will likely happen after the holidays. If it’s any consolation, last year I received an interview invite late February. I don’t think that is typical, but it can happen.
