  1. I am pretty jealous you're all getting results . In Canada ours are usually mid-March. And there is no deadlines, so I have heard of people literally getting of wait lists one week before classes start.
  2. Seconding Interpretivist. It doesn't much matter, unless you're trying to go back the USA for PhD. Did you end up applying to Canadian schools for your MA?
  3. That is fair! It sounds like an awesome adventure, that is for sure. I can't wait for updates (US updates too!)
  4. Western is awesome! I wanted to apply there as well, but they were a bit outside of my commuting zone. I'd have loved to try some of the US schools, but price of tuition as an international student + having to relocate my family was a huge barrier for me.
  5. My cat made me hit enter before I was done...
  6. Hi Friends, I didn't see a thread that was specifically for Canadian PhD applicants, so I figured I would start one! I've applied to U of T, York, Guelph, and McMaster.
  7. Congrats!!! That's amazing!
  8. I'm not at Western, but I've been told that most movement does sometimes happen in July/August
  9. Heya - have you heard any updates?
  10. Waitlisted at Guelph! So at least they are getting through sending offers etc; I think this year is just going to be a bit absurd with a the deadlines pushed back etc;
  11. Thanks! It should be the same! I'm waitlisted for SSHRC, but not sure how many people are ahead of me/when they update the portal!
  12. Has anyone heard from Guelph at all?
  13. Heya - I am also U of G. I was told by my graduate program assistant on Wednesday last week that we should be hearing end of that week (so Friday). So I wouldn't start fretting until end of this week or even end of next week. I'm also wondering how long it will take them to update the CGS-M waitlist. Though I still can't find anyone who can confirm winning SSHRC @ Guelph.
  14. Thesis, including internal scholarships, research stipend, and guaranteed TA work. Not in natural sciences though!
  15. I held OGS this year @ Guelph, and I was allowed to keep all my existing funding.
  16. I am with you there! I am in program at Guelph, and they don't tell you where you sit on the waiting list. So agonizing hahahahaha.
  17. I am pretty sure OGS should be any day now at most schools!
  18. I don't think most schools tell you where you're at on the wait-list. I would love to know! Thankfully I applied for OGS too, so I am hoping that if I am alternate for SSHRC which is more competitive than OGS, I will get OGS for sure!
  19. Alternate @ Guelph. Boooo *sad face*
  20. Alternate SSHRC @ Guelph. Boooooooooooooooooooo.
