    I have applied to OGS for my MA in the fall at Carleton, my app currently says it's under review by the faculty. Any others in the same position ?

    You have to provide Carleton with an official transcript from your institution, which will indicate that your degree has been conferred. You can find the info at this link: https://graduate.carleton.ca/apply-online/required-documents/ . Scroll all the way down to the section which says "If you have received an offer of admission"

    No rejections, but I've been "recommended for assessment" since March. I contacted them a couple times and their office is a mess after the strike. Not sure if we'll be hearing back anytime soon

    I unfortunately can't speak much on your chances, however I am on the same boat as you as I've been "recommended for assessment" since Feb 23rd. I spoke with the NPSIA office this morning, and they said my app was still under review, and said that the process has been slowed down due to the Carleton strike. She also mentioned that those who are still under review (I am guessing this applies to your case as well), should be hearing back from them by the end of this month. All to say, there is still hope! Hang in there!

    I also spoke with Tabbatha and she said the JD/MA applications were sent for review last Friday (probably why my status changed on that day)

    I applied to the MA/JD, and my status shifted to "recommended for assessment" just this past Friday. Also, a friend of mine got accepted Friday, and she applied to the MA only.

    Does anybody know if the JD/MA applications are assessed at the same time as the MA apps ? Or are they assessed separately/after the MA ones?

    Has anybody else's status changed from "preliminary review required" ? I know it's only been a week, but I'm wondering if I should email them to get an update... The wait is killing me lol

    @Chuupa Oui!! French is actually my second language after Persian! To be honest, Ottawa does not compare to Montreal in terms of the social scene. However, it is a nice, calm and student friendly city, with a lot of career opportunities (especially within the federal government). If you do get bored, the good thing is Montreal is not too far away! I hope this gives you an idea of what to expect! Good luck to you too! Are you also applying to the french JD/MA?

    Hey everyone! I am applying to the JD(in French)/MA program at UOttawa and Carleton. Officially submitted the MA application this week, and thought I'd share my stats with other fellow applicants. Currently finishing my BSocSc from UOttawa, cgpa 8.2/10 and last two years 9.3/10. Not much international experience other than a Model UN course, and being born/living abroad. I also took both micro/macro in my undergrad. Anybody else applying to the joint program? PS: it's only been a week and the wait is killing me!
