Somehow feel more discouraged after meeting with my advisor today. Spent an excessive amount time talking about my 'plan B' in the case that I'm not offered acceptance at any of the programs I'm applying too. We ran out of time before we even really got to look over my SOP, which is why I set the meeting in the first place. The fact that someone doesn't ~believe~ in me isn't ordinarily a big deal, but it is when you're counting on this person to write you a great letter of rec... ?

I spoke to an admission rep at Columbia yesterday and she says if the scores are not required, you should only submit them if they can HELP your application. If you did extremely well, then sure, go ahead. If your scores are mid-range or low, however, absolutely do not submit them as it likely can and will be held against you. In cases where the GRE requirement is dropped, your best course of action is to write a killer SOP and have great letters of rec. Best of luck!

Are you applying for Fall 2019? If so, I think you're good. Most people (not just people who post on this site) often don't start their apps til a few weeks before they are due. Don't sweat it too much.
