Hello! I know we find out about the Ontario schools on April 2nd. In the past, people have found out right at midnight but I haven't heard anything about that this year. Does anyone know for sure if ORPAS is going to update at midnight? I am already anticipating the horrible wait on Monday night but I don't want to wind myself up if it may not be updated until later on, on Tuesday. Anyway, if anyone knows if it will be updated right at midnight, that would be awesome! It's getting so close! Thanks!

Hey! I'm not too much help with this but I know someone in the UofT program who had a 3.72 GPA and someone else who had a 4.0 haha! I've heard a lot of mixed answers about what they value the most: marks or experience. I went to an information session last year and the professors were EXTREMELY secretive about their selection process and wouldn't even answer a ball-park GPA range that they look for. I've heard that the majority of students are between a 3.7 and a 4.0 though so I think grades are really important to them. Best of luck!!! It's getting so real!

I guess im just wondering if I will first see it on ORPAS and then get a call or vice versa. Does anyone know if UofT, Western or McMaster calls its students like McGill to offer positions? My phone is broken and I'm wondering if I should rush to get it fixed or if I should just focus on Orpas. Thanks!

Hi everyone! I keep hearing that the universities in Ontario look for different things when considering the applicants. Does anyone know (or have any idea) of what they might be? I have heard that UofT is partial to applicants with research experience but does anyone know about the other schools? Thanks

I didn't apply to McGill but I applied to UofT, Western and McMaster. My subGPA is a 3.89 but my cGPA is really bad so im hoping these schools don't count it as much. Ah!

Hello everyone! My cGPA is really terrible because they used my transcript from the first school I went to before I transferred. Does anyone know if the cGPA counts for anything? I know they focus more on the subGPA but I'm wondering if anyone knows if the cGPA is taken into consideration. Thanks!

Hi everyone! My subGPA only includes 15 of my courses. I thought they were supposed to count the winter semester for my second year? I'm finishing up my final courses this semester so I'm kind of confused. Does anyone know if the subGPA is supposed to include the 20 most recent courses (including winter of 2nd year) for the students who are still in 4th year? Thanks!

Hello Everyone! I have applied to UofT, Western and McMaster and I'm sooooo freaking nervous! I am in my last semester of my Early Childhood Studies degree with a minor in Psychology and I have a subGPA of 3.92. Although I feel like my GPA is competitive, I have heard that people in my program have a very difficult time getting into SLP. I'm wondering if anyone knows of anybody who has a similar background who got into the program? I could use some hope right about now lol! I have over 500 hours volunteering with SLPs in a variety of settings (Hospital, laboratory, preschool, geriatric facility) and another 500+ hours volunteering with children and their families in hospitals, daycares and drop-in centres. I thought I would introduce myself to all of you and wish you all the best of luck. This is such a nerve-wracking process but we're all in it together!

I have a degree in Early Childhood Studies, but rumour has it that they prefer people with science/psychology backgrounds.
