  1. Looks like UPenn is starting to send out emails, good luck everyone!
  2. I applied to a relatively similar field, Public History, and I applied to Vermont, Colorado-Denver, and Maryland-Baltimore. I just received an email from the UMBC (University of Maryland Baltimore County) admin asking for two of my LoRs, but otherwise I haven't heard anything. ETA: The programs I applied to also seem to have the option to overlap with Museum Studies, hence the reason I responded to this thread.
  3. I'm really hoping UPenn starts sending out news soon, they're probably the last big hurdle I'm facing right now, beyond the waitlists.
  4. Just received my rejection from Emory. It was a reach for sure and not the strongest fit, but it would have been a great program. Congrats to the accepted and waitlisted!
  5. Oh god oh man oh god oh man (nothing yet) Congrats!
  6. Well it's only 4 PM CST in Indiana and I've been waitlisted! I'll take the W for this one as well and hope that either someone who was accepted to Michigan or Indiana accepts another offer.
  7. Same! Usually I'd start looking for apartments in March, but I can't really do a thorough search for 6 different states.
  8. I'm in the same boat, I'm waiting for two programs to open their floodgates (Penn and Emory) and for Indiana to finally tell me what's up. The wait is excruciating.
  9. Congratulations! It does help, it tells me that they're likely doing it by cohort rather than collectively.
  10. Just an FYI, apparently people in other programs are experiencing the same issue (Results Page, under Sociology), so it may be the system itself rather than a decision. Still, fingers crossed for all of you!
  11. I think some staff had Presidents Day off, hence the relatively low amount of results posted today. That's just a guess, though, I could be off.
  12. Very true and unfortunately there's no real niche subreddit for History/Humanities people to discuss graduate school, unless I'm just unaware of them
  13. Oh yeah, go to any thread on r/gradadmissions or just search the subreddit itself. GradCafe is rarely offered as a helpful alternative. Though I will say that a lot of people don't realize there are entire forums and that the site doesn't just host the Results Page.
  14. Also, are there any current Indiana University people here on the board? I haven't heard anything and acceptances and rejections went out last week, though not many as far as I can tell. Wondering if the system is similar to U of Michigan's (cohorts) or if I should take this as another L.
  15. Not to mention that people on Reddit actively discourage users from using GradCafe, as the Results Page can be a bit of a Skinner box at times.
  16. I’m sorry, that really sucks. Also, them not BCCing the rejection email is not a good look.
  17. Emory did not do interviews and I believe does not do interviews, much like UofMichigan and other programs.
  18. For whatever reason the people who are posting their acceptances and rejections to IU aren't saying anything in the comment section, so I honestly have no idea what's going on at this point.
  19. No, here's a link to the portal: https://iugraduate.liaisoncas.com/applicant-ux/#/login Just FYI, they haven't updated the portal at all, so you'll probably receive an email soon
  20. Made it onto U of Michigan's waitlist! I honestly can't believe it, that was definitely a long shot (the POI I reached out to was honest about the admissions process), and even if I don't get an offer, I'm still really excited that I wasn't outright rejected.
  21. I second this! I didn't even see the rejection on the Results page until you pointed it out. For what it's worth, my portal hasn't updated, so I'm assuming they received an email.
  22. Good to know, thanks for the heads up!
  23. Idk if anyone else applied there this season (besides the one admit), but I've just been rejected from Vanderbilt. Feeling kind of numb, really wondering what will happen now. Wisconsin was also an implicit rejection, so I have four options left (really 5, gotta update to say that I applied to Lehigh), but Michigan is a pipe dream, so my options are dwindling. I'm applying for Master's programs now, so I have a backup plan. This really sucks, though, I had my heart set on Nashville.
  24. Congratulations! I can't imagine the rollercoaster you've been on, but that's amazing!
