I second this 100%. This could be a great opportunity to make an even stronger impression on the faculty and students (and your POI if she goes!) that could really help you stand out. You can plan an even better romantic night with your boyfriend in the future, hopefully celebrating an acceptance to the program. ?

Yeah, I feel most schools don't do a very good job in updating everyone. Like I heard from a school last night saying I'm rejected, meanwhile my application still says "under faculty review" anyway. And others that haven't even bothered updating even though its been way past their interview days. Although if you reached out to both POIs and Admin and they said the same thing, maybe they still need some more time? Have others applying for your programs heard anything?

Depends! I had an interview today that was incredibly relaxed - both the professor and graduate student asked some very basic questions of me and I asked a lot of them in return. Now another interview I had last week with a professor and alumni, while not necessarily ultra stressful, I found to be much harder. The questions were quick, tricky at times, and went in unexpected directions based on what they honed in on. Like the phrasing of a particular answer ("Why'd you explain it that way?") or one certain aspect of my current work.

I agree. It would probably save them so many emails and phone calls from people asking about their status. ☹️

I would be curious to know as well please! I was so sure they finished with invites, so I was surprised to see more.

At the same time, I sometimes wonder if posts like that are trolls... Did you see the ones about William James???

I haven't heard anything from TC either, but their interview date is very soon (at least according to what people posted on here). So close to losing hope. :( I'm just going to go with "no news is good news" for now. Please let us know if you hear back! How long ago did you reach out to them?

Thank you very much! ? Unfortunately, I'm not too sure - the email doesn't specify anything like that. I'm also never super certain whether something is a "mass email" or not, but my feeling with this one is that it might be. But you never know! Hopefully you'll hear something soon!

Definitely feels that way, especially when I keep refreshing the results page every few minutes. But some are still extending! Every time I think one of my programs is finished, it looks like someone new heard something. Don't lose hope unless you know for sure. Hahahaha I understand that feeling. I saw people posting about Fairleigh Dickinson last week and even though it likely signaled bad news for me, I hoped I would still hear something. "Maybe the interviews go out in waves," I told myself. Getting the actual rejection yesterday was sad, but provided the closure I needed to let it go. I wish all schools could let you know that quickly.

Thanks for the response! Congrats on Adelphi! A little bummed I didn't hear from either of them. Good to know that St. John's may be reaching out in the next week or so, if they follow the same timeline.

Hi everyone! I'm applying to the clinical psychology PhD program at TC. Has anyone heard anything about interviews yet (even to other programs)? The results page is getting me confused, since only one person said they got an invite to interview on 2/14, while another said they heard directly from their POI about a rejection to interview. I haven't heard anything at all, so I'm not sure where I stand at the moment. TC's website says they reach out to people in February and interview in March, but this could be old.

Well keeps things entertaining as the rest of us stress out I guess?

Can anyone confirm if Adelphi, City College or Fairleigh Dickinson are finished sending interview invites? I have a feeling they are, but might as well ask after seeing some invites extended in the results section - congrats to whoever you are! If anyone could also provide POI initials via one of the threads or in a PM (if you'd be comfortable), that'd be very appreciated! Additionally: has anyone heard from St. John's University or Kean University yet?

Why can't every school do that??? It would save a ton of stress for applicants and probably save admissions a ton of emails/calls asking what's going on with their applications.

Definitely fine to reach out! Plenty of people on here do that either over email or calling the school. Just make sure you reach out to the right person. I haven't gotten a formal rejection this cycle yet (I'm sure some will be coming haha), but in the past I heard via email. Usually to check my application status on the school's website.
