Woke up to an acceptance email from UNC this morning and am still in complete shock.  I applied just because, and honestly never expected to get in, especially after being rejected from Arizona two weeks ago on what I imagine was the first round of cuts.  Still waiting on Texas, Vandy, UC Davis, and Minnesota but I don't think I can pass up UNC.
I'll be American with a focus on behavior/psychology.

I found out about this website a couple of weeks ago. Just wanted to send good vibes to y'all!
I just got into Brown (theory)! It seems 4 of us got an offer. Northwestern rejected me earlier this week and there's only been radio silence from UVA, so stoked about Brown.

UNC is me. I got a call, I'm not sure if the rest are coming out today or not. I've been to a couple of the POI's talks on my campus, and he said they like to give the news in "person" to people they know.

Also were you the call and email both? I saw there's one of each. 

I still haven't heard from Northwestern, Virginia, Pittsburgh, and CU Boulder. It isn't anxiety-inducing at all. ?

Not updated. Still says "Submitted."

I know they're closed because of the weather, but I can't believe we haven't heard anything from Northwestern, still... Driving me crazy!

I'm hoping Duke might come out soon — they released decisions on Jan 30th last year (a Tuesday), but that may have been an anomaly as they usually release the first week of Feb (from what the results page looks like). Ughhhh I'm just refreshing my email all day !!!

Hey all. Saw the recent conversation about admission stats for OSU. Statistics wise, Princeton usually gets 500+ applications in a given year and admits ~40 people across 6 subfields (IR, CP, AP, Theory, Methods, Public Law) for an admission rate of 8% (less during years when it's higher). They aim for a cohort of 20ish but some are smaller (16) and some are larger (27) depending on the year. I suspect Harvard is similar, though they can have cohorts of 30. Just thought I'd pop this up here for perspective.

The wait is starting to get me a bit.. I’m assuming Northwestern is a rejection at this point, but UCSD should hopefully be releasing decisions soon 

Definitely ~not~ thinking about how Berkeley/Duke/NYU/Princeton/UCDavis/UCSD could start reaching out at any moment. Anyone else not thinking about this at 8:43 a.m.?
