  1. Thank you so much for starting a discussion thread! @Junebug01 It's good to see so many rhet/comp fellows out there! So far: Acceptance: University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Rejection: CMU, MSU, and UW-Madison Waitlist: OSU Still waiting to hear back from a few. Fingers crossed for all of us!!!
  2. @tacocat211 Second that! We should have a discussion thread for rhet/comp 2019 application. I'm also waiting to hear back from Penn State! (My POIs are Prof. Xiaoye You and Prof.Suresh Canagarajah , both of whom specialize in transnational literacy)
  3. @tacocat211 composition/rhetoric person here!!! Thus far, 3 rejections (CMU, MSU, &UW-Madison--> feeling sorta bummed about this one, since it's my alma mater, and am convinced that my research interests fit well) and 1 waitlist (OSU).
  4. My OSU portal indicates that my status still remains "pending." I guess that's an implied rejection then. Or does the notification come at a different time for Composition/Rhetoric track?
  5. @Pnwonder Yeah, UW-Madison is my alma mater. I got my M.A. in Applied English Linguistics, and am gearing towards the field of composition and rhetoric. I'm particularly invested in how literacy morphs the formation of identity for faculty and students of color. I hope to get to work with Morris Young, if I get in! Fingers crossed for both of us too.
  6. @Pnwonder Did you also apply to C&R program at UW-Madison? The waiting game is dreadful indeed.
