Thanks! I’m pretty stoked. My focus is on psychoanalysis and trans studies. My proposed project was a critique of queer theory’s antinormative habits from a trans studies perspective.

I got an invitation the day after my interview. I think they've sent out all the invites, as they wanted to know by last Monday whether I'd be visiting or not in order to make arrangements.

I may be wrong, but I don't think there have been official acceptances yet. They invited some of us down for a "prospective students weekend" which seems also to be another round of interviews. Otherwise, nothing official from the program, though I had a POI reach out to me to introduce herself as she won't be in Durham when I visit.

I'm still waiting to hear from them, too.

Oh god, I was so anxious that I'd screwed up the timing or the connection or something. Thank goodness they were just running a bit late! I was definitely pretty anxious, but they at least seemed very friendly and down to earth!

An email from University of Minnesota's Comparative Studies in Discourse and Society program makes for my first acceptance! Such a feeling of relief!

Thanks! It was a general email asking for time availability. And I can't say, but I did get mine after you had asked the question originally, and after the first interview posting had gone up. I had initially seen that posting and assumed I wasn't going to get one.
