Oh yeah thank you. I am just disappointed that they did not even interview me. I don't understand. Maybe there is something like a filter, which rejected me at the very beginning.

They inferred this conclusion from the reception of both accept/rejection letters and answers to inquiry emails: 1. When asked about the ESOP, ETH replied that the result should be informed by the end of this week; for the MSP, it was next week 2. Those who were rejected by both scholarships received the rejection in one single email, and they received the rejection this week, while no one said they were accepted for the MSP So maybe it will be the situation that for us who received no letters this week it's because we are rejected for the ESOP but accepted by the MSP... Still, I feel it's just a conjecture which has never been demonstrated by anything else... Maybe more possibly it's just people who are as nervous as us and they have figured out an overfitted model lol...

Some guys told me that it is possible that we did not receive the email this week because we were rejected by ESOP but accepted by MSP... Anyway, I am still waiting for it. I hope the rejection comes as soon as possible so that I can focus on my own business...

I think you don't have to worry too much. Since you have got the ticket to AdAc there should be a high probability that you get admitted. Moreover, not everyone selected and admitted will finally attend the BCGS. -

I still did not receive anything related to ESOP/MSP... Hope for a quicker rejection... I just need a settle-down for preparing my thesis

Don't you consider deferring the offer? I do not think the ETH will want to waste time and energy re-checking the ones that have already been recognized, accepted and approved during the last year... Also, after all, your situation is somewhat compulsory, and they should be able to offer reasonable help on this.

Thank you so much for sharing your feelings. Now I have nearly totally lost hope and finally decided to attend another M.Sc. program at Perimeter Institute. I have no way because I can not afford the thrilling expense for studying at ETHZ for 2~3 years. But still, I plan to contact some professors at ETHZ and to try to apply for a Ph.D. next year after graduation from PI. I really wish to explore my research career in Europe and I think ETHZ will be the best choice for me to start with.

So anybody got informed of the decision of ESOP? I'm majoring in Physics and still waiting, with no acceptance or rejections. I am afraid of myself having been rejected since there was a result saying he or she had already been interviewed regarding ESOP.

Sorry to know your situation. Hope you finally get admitted in May~ For my personal trouble, I currently have no clue how to properly deal with it. I may try consulting some experienced classmates or friends who have applied for Germany VISA before or directly stating my situation and asking the Embassy for speeding up. -

I applied for BCGS and received the interview on Feb 19. The interview is weird. It is scheduled from March 23 to March 29 with full funding including flight tickets, and they did not inform me of the details until the end of Feb. I do not think I have enough time for the Schengen VISA application. -
I just received the admission email(M.Sc. in Physics) yesterday, but I got no response concerning ESOP. Besides, that email ask me not to make any more inquiries before receiving the official mail of admission? I am TOTALLY CONFUSED by this...
