  1. How did the interview go, and did you receive notification of admission yet?
  2. I will never understand people who say they are "surprised" to get rejected...I wish I had that kind of confidence.
  3. Applied to NY DAAD (US applicant) for Study Scholarships for Graduates of All Disciplines. As of this morning my status now says "Application Rejected" no email or notification
  4. Applied to DAAD NY for master's scholarship. No updates, status is "Application Submitted". Dates of funding have not changed since I submitted. I assume I have been rejected.
  5. I agree with ASDadvocate. I would probably get something like a coffee mug with the school's logo. I don't think they would appreciate money.
  6. I'm fairly certain that means you've been selected for funding
  7. I applied for Study Scholarships for Graduates of All Disciplines, 2019/20 to the NY DAAD office. It's now officially march so the selection meeting should happen sometime this month? and we should hear in April I guess. My application status still says 'Submitted' and the dates of my funding period haven't changed
  8. Congratulations! And wow, that it very stressful, I know visa appointments can be full up to a month in advance depending on where you are. I hope you get it sorted out in time! I was not shortlisted for the interview, so I'm waiting for second round admission (without funding) in May
  9. Those changes seem to be unrelated, they happen several Mondays per month.
  10. I can relate to what you mean about living up to expectations being very difficult. I've become almost defensive when people try to compliment me or tell me everything is going to work out because I did xxx internship and have xxx experience. The world doesn't work that way, nothing is guaranteed! I get rejections all the time! So these emphatic assurances from other people really get on my nerves. That being said, it looks like you got into UC Davis and Riverside, which are both very good schools so I agree you should focus on what you have instead of what you don't.
  11. Anyone apply to / have heard back about the Honors Branch of BCGS?
