  1. Is anyone still waiting on an answer from Lakehead University?
  2. It's almost the end of April and I haven't heard back from Waterloo or Lakehead.. Can I assume rejection?
  3. I called Waterloo and they said the admissions committee is going through the applications right now. We can expect to hear back sometime this week through to the next.
  4. Congrats! Do you mind sharing your stats? I also applied to Waterloo but haven't received any updates yet.
  5. Just got rejected future applicants, please make sure that you have TONS of experience (more than 1 year)! GPA's and marks aren't all that important..
  6. I just got waited listed for Guelph MPH. The email reads: "The MPH Admissions Committee has reviewed your application and has recommended that your application to the Master of Public Health (MPH) program be placed on the wait list. Your chance of receiving an offer of admission is dependent on the number of first list candidates that accept their offers. We received over 300 applications for 25 spots in the program. It was highly competitive and you should be congratulated on your great application package" Does anyone have any insights on the chances of being accepted to the program?
  7. Anyone here with less experience? My final year's marks are good (87%) but I have only a year of teaching experience. I am not sure if I will be accepted because of that...
  8. I was rejected by UBC MPH today and now I feel quite pessimistic about my other MPH applications (Waterloo, Guelph, and Lakehead). I was wondering if having professional or research experience plays play a big role in your acceptance? I would like to know this for future applications. I only had volunteer experience at hospitals and retirement communities.
  9. Same! I just want to find out already.
  10. I can't believe this! You have such amazing stats.. I also applied to UBC MPH. waiting for a rejection any minute now. I have good marks (3.87/4.0 GPA) but not the greatest experience. I only have experience working in hospitals (HELP program) and retirement communities.
