I believe they just infer by position title when you fill out the referee's information.- 1,373 replies

Edit - Never mind I'm dumb haha, I see there is a section for volunteer experience you can add. I don't know about putting work experience there, but you could weave it into your statement of intent if you can't. An explanation of why you have chosen SLP as a career, demonstrating your knowledge of the profession and its scope of practice. A description of what you will bring to the SLP profession (e.g., strengths, experiences, attributes, leadership skills and/or abilities). A brief explanation of why you have chosen to apply to the SLP program at Western University.- 1,373 replies

It would be the furthest back semester they'd average because they want the 20 most recent courses.- 1,373 replies

Whatttt? Ahhh ok.....so then like if I have an 87 on the 3 scale of the ORPAS conversion table is that like a 3.92? Or still just 3.9? I also have some of my courses on the 7 scale so if I have an A but the grade calculation of the course was an 89 will they distinguish that between other A's or are all A's 3.9?- 1,373 replies

Do you guys have any idea how long it takes from the time ORPAS says it's received a transcript to the time that transcript actually shows up on your account? I want to make sure I used the correct calculation for my GPA - I used the conversion table but just to get the more specific calculation. They say they've got one of my transcripts but it hasn't shown up yet.- 1,373 replies

I believe if 2 classes fall within that semester they use the average of the semester. Although I could be wrong. If you mean fall classes like Sept-Dec - then they can be counted if you hit "send after semester" rather than "Send immediately". As long as transcripts arrive to orpas by jan 30. All transcripts to date will be included if you have them sent off properly. Edit - also don't worry too much, I'm also freaking out about my GPA. I think every single person applying is. The odds suck. If you don't get in this year, next year you will. Good luck!- 1,373 replies

Where are you finding these stats? I can't seem to see info about applicant number/acceptances from Western or UofT.- 1,373 replies

Would anyone feel at all interested in looking over each other's statement of intent? Or if not does anyone have any tips/resources/want to share theirs with me? I went to the library to see if they had anyone that could help me edit mine but no dice. I didn't get in last year and want to fix any mistakes I've made.- 1,373 replies

What do you guys think GPA cutoffs are going to look like this year? You think it's still going to climb from McMaster's 3.90 last year? How did UofT and Western compare in terms of GPA last year?- 1,373 replies

What are everyone's thoughts on the personal reference? I have a couple of years of volunteer experience, and the SLP is happy to provide a reference, but it seems that Western doesn't want us to ask any clinical references for letters.- 1,373 replies

Just got my rejection for McMaster. I'm very discouraged, but holding out hope for Western and UofT.
