  1. Rutgers University rejected me a week ago.
  2. So, maybe we should prepare ourselves for the deferment!
  3. International admitted students, what is your plan for F1 VISA? Any suggestion? All of the US embassies are closed
  4. Finally get an offer!! PhD in molecular and cellular biology. University of Illinois Urbana Champaign. Wishing all of you the best!
  5. The admission director told me that I'm rejected. Tomorrow will be their final interview date and if you're not invited yet consider it a rejection!
  6. You're welcome! I contacted them about 12 days ago. One of my friends is a PhD candidate at Ohio State University and told me OSU reviews the domestic applicants earlier (like many other institutes). One of the University of Virginia professors also told me that they evaluate Americans first!
  7. If you're a domestic applicant, you are probably being waitlisted. I've sent emails to: University of South Dakota University of South Florida Florida State University Ohio State University Rutgers University University of Virginia University of Louisville University of Kentucky P.S. I'm an international applicant in Biomedical or biomolecular fields
  8. I sent several emails to the programs which I haven't seen any signs of them in the the gradcafe result pages. All of them told me that they have not send any invitation yet!!
  9. I'm an international applicant and applied for 17 (ranked 30 to 400) programs! University of Nebraska Medical Center rejected me after a week (Rolling basis). I haven't received any info from all the other institutions yet! Should I be freaking out? Is it possible that they send domestic interviews invitations earlier than the international applicants?
  10. You have a paper in a prestigious journal (Cell). It means that you involved in a fantastic project and great team! About your GPA, I think your early completion is a weight and Cornell is a strict and well-known university! You have a great chance! Best of luck in your application!
